About Gypsy Reverie

Joseph Arnold

Bandleader and violinist

Gypsy Reverie plays the music of a candlelit Paris café: Django Reinhardt swing, French chansons like La Vie en Rose, bossa nova, Portuguese fado, and the Sinatra and Nat King Cole standards that still fill a dance floor. We're an Asheville band with violin, acoustic guitars, and bass. We play weddings across Western North Carolina, upstate South Carolina, and east Tennessee, and we've sold out rooms from Battery Park Book Exchange in Asheville to City Winery in Philadelphia.

The band changes size with your day. A violin and guitar duo can play your ceremony, a trio carries cocktail hour and dinner, and a quartet or quintet with a vocalist takes over when it's time to dance. We stay acoustic, so your guests can talk over dinner and still hear the music. We show up on time and pride ourselves on a professional attitude and swingin' music. "We received so many compliments on the band! The music was so much fun and the song selection from originals to covers were perfection for our wedding. I would highly recommend them for any occasion." - Elizabeth Wright, Bride

Excellent band -- delivered exactly what we wanted

This band delivered exactly what we were looking for! We worked directly with Joseph who was highly professional and communicative. He helped craft a set list that met all my needs and wants, and delivered it in the most beautiful way. Guests were so impressed by how gorgeous the music sounded. This isn't just your average group of musicians trying to get paid. They are extremely skillful artists who put love and heart into their performances. Highly recommend!
