DJ Persist has been involved in the music industry since the age of 17 and has been doing what he loves for the past 18 years. He had held several nightclub residencies in the city of Chicago, an experience that enhances his performance at weddings. Today, DJ Persist has expanded his services to include A/V and Photo Booth services to become a well-known, award winning company. DJ Persist strives to give you the best in customer service by listening to your needs to provide for you an unforgettable event!

Our company takes great pride in not being an "ordinary DJ company". We are extremely passionate about what we do and that is why we NEVER just sit back and just play music. We truly believe in the successful execution of your event, we coordinate with all of your vendors so you do not have to worry about anything! When it comes to rocking the dancefloor, we know what we are doing! With our knowledge and talent, we are able to read the crowd and actually mix live, just like in a nightclub–no cheese, no corny games, just extremely fun celebrations.

You NEED to go with DJ Persist for your wedding!!! We originally found him because we were hoping to find a bilingual DJ who could address our loved ones in both English and Spanish while knowing the fun Mexican wedding dance traditions. We had multiple interviews with DJs but he really stood out and made us feel like no one would be left out on the dance floor! We got the deluxe package which includes everything you need! The most important part was the music and he truly knocked it out of the park. He incorporated all the genres and songs we asked for while adding in songs that fit the vibe perfectly. He was able to create the perfect multicultural medley that fit us perfectly as a couple. It ranged from 2000s hits to cumbias to Marco Antonio Solís to Taylor Swift which may seem like a huge range but he did it all so seamlessly that everyone was having the best time. He did such a great job of keeping us on track that night and followed the timeline we gave him to a T! He also offers so many fun and cool add-ons. We got the Photo Booth add-on which our guests loved as they got to take something home with them. We also had a robot (who dressed up as a gorilla for a bit) and this was the highlight of the night!!! Seriously our guests have not stopped talking about it because it was so memorable and different :) He made everything so easy and seamless so that you just show up on wedding day and have fun! He also put together a picture slideshow of my husband and I which was such a sweet touch. His lighting set-up was amazing and worked perfectly with our venue. I honestly wish we would’ve gotten more add-ons so do it for yours because you won’t regret it! Jesse is truly a great guy with vibrant and professional energy that you will be so happy you went with him! 100000/10 recommend! Thank you DJ Persist!!!

DJ Persist was recommended to us by friends who had gotten married the year before and described his DJing as "lit" and he did not disappoint. When we first met him he was clear, friendly, and helpful in explaining all his package options. During planning he was very flexible in working with our wedding planners, venue staff, and other musicians. His wedding planning website was awesome and helped streamline what would be a flawless event in terms of timing and coordination. Most importantly during our wedding he was professional, fun, and the best DJ we could have hoped for. For our event he played a wide variety of music as per our request including salsa, cumbia, reggaeton, hip-hop, and pop.

In 2020, I came across DJ Persist on Instagram Live, and I was immediately blown away. He was seamlessly blending Latin music with American pop, understanding the rhythms of both cultures and playing total bops. At the time, I had only been dating my (now) husband, who’s from Mexico, for about a year-- but I remember thinking right then and there: "when we get married, we’re hiring DJ Persist." Cut to 2025, and that’s exactly what we did. We’re based in NYC and flew Jesse in from Chicago because we knew how important it was to have someone who could truly bridge both of our cultures on the dance floor, and wow, did he deliver. The energy was unreal. The dance floor never let up -- both families came in and out all night, and most of the time we were all dancing together. It was incredible how effortlessly Jesse moved between English and Spanish. It made both of our families feel included and celebrated, and we heard nonstop praise from everyone (on both sides) about how incredible he was. People were in awe of the setlist, the transitions, the vibe. We brought him to our after-party where we really let the dance floor loose. He's such a smart DJ-- not just pressing play on a playlist. He understands the musicality, the beats, and how to layer songs together; it was seriously so fun. On top of all that, Jesse is just great to work with- kind, responsive, professional, and fairly priced. He truly gets it, and hiring him was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding.

DJ Persist was amazing throughout our entire event. He had the dance floor packed with people dancing the whole time. He made sure our special night was unforgettable for everyone there. We had a good mix of guests and he played genres that everyone was familiar with. Prior to our wedding, he provided us with many great suggestions for our special dances and met with us to go over our timeline. Although wedding planning can be a bit stressful, he did a great job at making us feel that the music wouldn’t be part of the stress. We were in good hands. We highly recommend DJ Persist for his professionalism, ease of working with, and his expertise in this industry. 10/10
