    Amazing experience

    We had an amazing experience working with DJ Bennie and Faye. From our very first meeting, they were incredibly helpful, organized, and easy to work with. They made the entire process feel much less overwhelming and took the time to understand exactly what we were looking for. A few days before the wedding, they even met us at the venue to scope everything out and ensure the speaker placement and sound quality would be perfect. Their attention to detail and professionalism gave us so much confidence going into the big day. On our wedding day, DJ Bennie did an amazing job reading the crowd and keeping the dance floor packed. He played the perfect mix of songs and knew exactly how to keep the energy up throughout the night. We received so many compliments from our guests about the music and the overall atmosphere. If you're looking for a DJ team that is professional, personable, and truly interested in making your wedding unforgettable, we can't recommend DJ Bennie and Faye enough!

    Best wedding DJ ever

    DJ Bennie James was the most collaborative and fun DJ. He has wonderful taste, listened to our preferences and what was important to us, can read the room when a transition in music would be helpful, and is generally lovely and great vibes for your special event. Highly recommend!!!

    Fab!

    From our first conversation, DJ Bennie James got exactly what we wanted—funky, soulful vibes that kept everyone dancing all night long. We gave him a short list of songs and the music we liked and he understood the vibe instantly, playing the perfect tracks at just the right moments. His assistant Faye was fantastic too, keeping everything running smoothly while being genuinely friendly with our guests. Bennie's communication was clear and prompt throughout the whole process, which made planning so easy. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ to set the tone for our celebration. Highly recommend!

    Amazing Wedding DJ!

    Bennie DJ’d our wedding and we were extremely pleased, from the start of the planning process, all the way through to the big day! When we initially met with Bennie, he gave us a blueprint that allowed us to share our thoughts and vision (for example, we wanted music, karaoke, and I also wanted to sing/play violin during the ceremony). From there, he collaborated with us, providing excellent suggestions, based on his previous experiences. He also reviewed the schedule and logistics with us, to make sure all the necessary equipment was mapped out. Our sound setup was perfect for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. He kept the energy high, and it was clear that guests felt comfortable approaching him to make music requests during the reception, too! Throughout the entire day, he read the crowd and knew exactly when it was the right time for karaoke, upbeat songs, slower songs, etc. Our wedding was a blast... largely in part to Bennie’s talent and expertise! We would HIGHLY recommend Bennie!

I wear a suite & tie for weddings unless the couple request a different look.
I normally recommend that requests be left to my professional discretion because I'm constently reading the room and sometimes guests choose a great song at the perfect time. Alternatively, some couples/clients ask me not to take requests and that's totally fine too.
Yes, I have DJ'd for all types of weddings and special religious ceremonies. I have considerable experience with world music. I will always follow proper etiquette and play music that the couple/client has requested. I am known for mixing different genres seamlessly.
Yes, I have a $1 million liability insurance through RVNuccio insurance brokers.
My style is warm, inviting, fun and hype (when needed). My MC skills are very organic and not over-the-top. I can be more formal or more relaxed depending on the couple/client and the venue.
I normally arrive 2hrs before any music starts.
Yes, I provide disco lighting, wireless up-lighting. I can arrange a photo booth.
My travel fee depends on distance & time. I do not charge a fee for events within a 1.5hr drive but if I am required to travel further, there will be a travel fee and possibly a hotel fee. Again, this depends on travel distance & time. There is no brake down fee.
