Born to DJ, LLC, based in North Carolina, offers premier DJ services and specializes in weddings and other private events. Our DJ fills your special day with sounds that create and bring back life-long memories. Our DJ service takes an ordinary event and makes it special. We provide you with a DJ/MC that keeps the momentum going with customized music and an engaging personality. We specialize in several genres, including but not limited to Pop, Hip-Hop/Rap, Country, Top 40, Big Band, Rock, Latin, Motown, Gospel, EDM, Beach Music, and R&B. We have music for all ages ranging from the 1940s to today’s current hits.
When it comes to your special day, there a few things that set us apart from other DJ companies. - We have a vast library of songs/genres, and can play just about anything at your event from the 50s to todays hits, and from classic rock to hip hop, to latin, and anything in between. - We take requests. Most DJs won't tell you this, but they hate requests. We take them, and if they fit, we will play them. - We don't have "playlists." It's YOUR day so everything is customized to your wants and desires. Every wedding is different so we don't show up with the same generic playlist to every event.

Amazing DJ
We are so glad we choose Born to DJ. They helped make our dinner and reception perfect. They had a perfect playlist and included all the favorites we asked for. They helped keep the mood and energy at just the right level. Highly recommend!

Everyone at Born to DJ was helpful, professional, not to mention patient with our endless questions! They were so supportive throughout our planning process and their communication was top notch. At the actual wedding and reception, James did a superb job of keeping the dance floor filled, changing the music to fit the crowd. He ensured that the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing music was in line with our requests. He always asked for our ideas and preferences, but had a knack for knowing when we needed to use his expertise. We were his first Filipina Money Dance couple!! :) Even my husband, who admits he is NOT a dancer, was on the floor most of the night with me! From what our friends tell us, James kept the party going after we left! They are truly a first class company and we would highly recommend them to anyone we know. Thank you Born to DJ for helping make our fairytale wedding a dream come true!

We got to work with James from Born to DJ and he did a PHENOMENAL job! We were able to work with him to find a package that was in our budget and while still providing what we needed. We loved the app Born to DJ uses to plan out the timeline, special moments, and song list. James kept our day running smoothly with his on-point MC skills. Thank you for helping make our day perfect!

James and his Born To DJ team were fantastic! They are so organized with their app and platform, making communication and details a breeze. All of our guests have continued to comment on how great the music was and what a wonderful job our DJ team did. We had quite a varied crowd at our wedding; different ages, different nationalities and lots of different genres. Somehow the DJ managed to please them all and I can honestly say our dance floor was never empty! We had a long, 7 hour, recepetion, and the DJ never missed a beat! My only hope is we have another event in the future that we need a DJ for!
