Florist & Hound Design
Rating: 5.0 (2 reviews)
  • Starts at $15,000
  • Serves Zion, IL

. A boutique floristry studio focused on sustainability and artistic design. Our mission is to elevate spaces, evoke emotion, and create lasting memories. We pride ourselves on our curated luxurious designs, highlighting contemporary style with Neoclassical grandeur. We welcome the moody, those with a flair for the dramatic, and statement makers.

We had such a wonderful experience working with Klaudia! From the very beginning, she was warm and supportive and understood our vision despite our inability to fully articulate it ourselves. We are not flower experts but we knew we wanted something whimsical and magical for our winter wedding. She spent tons of time with us, in person, on the phone, and via email, making sure our proposal was exactly what we wanted. She even stuck with us through some huge changes to our original wedding plan and budget and came up with creative solutions to make sure we got exactly what we wanted within what we could afford. Within just a few weeks of the wedding, we got some wild ideas to use some items of our own in the decorating, and she made that work for us as well. The day-of, our flowers were unspeakably gorgeous. Klaudia delivered the bouquets to us right on time, and decorated the venue beautifully (all while having a broken leg!!!! She is magic.) Our other vendors, guests and even strangers during our outdoor photos raved about the flower arrangements. They were super unique and special, and I never wanted them to be over! In fact, we still have my dried bridal bouquet hanging in our apartment three months later... In sum, hire Klaudia. She is the florist of dreams.

Heather started her floral career early on at the age of 15. She immediately recognized her passion and natural aptitude for floral design and never looked back. Rachel came into the picture later on. She always had creative drive (drawing, painting, etc), but found her talent's true home in the floral industry in 2018 when we began working together.

The flowers were absolutely perfect. So glad I trusted them with the design! I gave them my color palette and a few of my favorite flowers and they made this beautiful bouquet for me, along with the rest of my wedding flowers! They really know what they’re doing!

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

We first met Exquisite Events & Floral Design and Bukky Garcia a year before our wedding at the Bridal Expo in Itasca, IL. Bukky’s booth immediately caught our attention—not just because of its elegant setup, but also because of the warmth and professionalism she exuded. From the moment we began speaking with her, it was clear she had a deep passion for what she does, paired with a level of expertise that made us feel instantly at ease. One of the first things that drew us to Bukky was her cultured approach and understanding. As fellow Nigerians, we bonded over our shared background, and this connection was pivotal for us. My wife and I had always envisioned a beautiful Nigerian-American wedding, but we weren’t quite sure how to blend the two cultures seamlessly. Being the first in our immediate families to host a formal wedding, we felt a bit overwhelmed with incorporating Nigerian traditions and customs into the day. Bukky, however, understood our vision right away and reassured us that she would help us create something truly special. While we had already started gathering a few essentials for the big day, Bukky and Exquisite Events & Floral Design stepped in and took it to a whole new level. From coordinating the logistics to fine-tuning every detail, Bukky handled it all with remarkable efficiency. She didn’t just come on board as a wedding planner and designer—she became the guiding force that brought our dream wedding to life. As a groom, I was completely blown away by her attention to detail, impeccable organization, and the way she communicated every step of the process. It wasn’t just about decorations or logistics; it was about her ability to take our ideas and elevate them beyond what we ever thought possible. Bukky shattered every expectation we had, turning our vision into something truly magical. Her expertise and dedication ensured that nothing was overlooked, and her cadence and poise throughout the planning process were second to none. The day of the wedding was nothing short of breathtaking. Bukky and her team transformed our venue in a way that left us and our guests speechless. Even the venue staff remarked that they had never seen their space look the way it did that day. It was as though she had taken a blank canvas and painted the most beautiful fairytale scene. Every arrangement, every detail, every touch was executed to perfection. But beyond her incredible work, Bukky gave us something even more meaningful—family. What started as a professional relationship quickly grew into something much deeper. She genuinely cared about us, not just as clients but as individuals. Even now, long after the wedding, we still check in with her from time to time because that bond remains strong. Looking back, we are beyond grateful to have had Bukky and Exquisite Events & Floral Design by our side for one of the most important days of our lives. She didn’t just help us plan a wedding; she created an experience we’ll cherish forever. If you’re looking for someone who can take your vision and make it a reality while surpassing your wildest expectations, look no further than Bukky Garcia. Our wedding was a dream come true, and we owe so much of that to her extraordinary talent and heart.

The Local Petaler is a wedding and event floral design studio based in St. Charles, IL. You're in good hands!

Jen was incredible to work with. From the initial phone consultation, to day-of wedding set up, and all of the modifications and emails in between- she helped bring our vision to life. Our florals exceeded our greatest expectations. Even so many of our guests mentioned that they were the most beautiful arrangements that they have ever seen. Thank you so much, Jen. The flowers (on our order) came in large boxes, but they were not labeled, so it took a minute to get the flowers both identified and properly set up. To be fair we were warned about the process, but not about the length of time due to our inexperience. As a note, it took my fiancé 5 hours to process the flowers when first receiving them. I also did not have any updates from them from the time I ordered till they were being shipped. They were beyond more affordable compared to other florists, and the flowers arrived alive and in good spirits. We were able to keep the flowers alive for over four days!! Many of the flowers that we chose did not have specific instructions, so we had to follow the general reference for the flowers and hope for the best. Additionally, some of the flowers that we wanted were not in stock, and they were replaced for us with substitutes but were not notified until we had all of the flowers already delivered to us. Also, as a note, bloom culture uses third party sellers for their flowers, so the quality may vary depending on location. Our flowers were in good condition, and the company we had clearly took good care of the flowers prior to delivering them to us. Would we do it again? Probably not, but it made for good laughs and bonding time and we have stories to tell from it!
