Swan Lake was the perfect reception spot! The whole place was absolutely stunning, but the highlight of our wedding was the cocktail hour on the deck. The views of the lake were unreal, especially as the sun started setting. It felt like something straight out of a dream—good drinks, the best people, and just the most perfect vibe

Everything about our experience with Venture was genuinely terrific from start to finish. A team of hard-working people who are willing to help with anything that they are able to. Communication was top-notch throughout the entire process, and the kindness exemplified by everyone who works there could not be overstated. The location is not only beautiful, but the positive energy one feels when walking around and staying on site is so powerful! I knew it was where I wanted to get married the moment I got out of the car on my first visit. Prior to visiting venture, we had looked at several other locations and had done a ton of online research. Many other venues were outrageously priced, even at a base cost, with basic amenities being additional costs. On top of being more expensive from the jump, the environments offered were not nearly as beautiful and fully realized as Venture. The newly built kitchen is stunning and so functional! All of the bathrooms with flushable toilets, electricity, and outlets made my less nature oriented guests feel very comfortable. Overall, everybody had a fantastic time, and every need my husband I had throughout this process was more than met. You will not regret spending time here at Venture Retreat Center, whether that’s for your wedding or just to book a stay for an escape from stressful life. Book with Venture, your heart will be happy! 3

Scribner Bend Vineyards was one of the last wedding venues that we toured in March of 2024, and the moment we walked the beautiful grounds and got a feel for the flow of how our wedding day would look, we knew it was the perfect venue for us. We were luckily enough to lock in a Saturday in October of 2025. We not only fell in love with the natural beauty of the property, but we were impressed by how kind and welcoming all of the staff were (Shaye at the time and then Hillary), greeting us with their amazing signature almond champagne. Since we had over a year to plan our wedding, we were able to attend 2 wedding open houses hosted at Scribner Bend and the staff greeted us so warmly, remembering our names and making us feel right at home. We also got to know some of their incredible preferred vendors such as Jackie’s Flowers, Rain from Paesanos Catering, and the Elegant Events Media Team. They continued to be great to work with, super communicative, flexible, and open to any and all ideas that we had to execute our wedding vision flawlessly. Leading up to wedding day and at our rehearsal practice, the day of coordinator, Hillary, was so great and organized, making us feel at ease and confident for anything that wedding day could throw at us. Scribner Bend Vineyards could not have been a more stunning wedding venue. The Bungalow was a great spot for getting ready and it was so fun to hang out with the girls and watch the guests arrive through the window on the upper level of the house. The vineyard was absolutely gorgeous, golden hour in the vineyard was dreamy, guests loved all of the various seating areas throughout the whole night to chat with family and friends. The food was so delicious and well organized. The staff was all so friendly and accommodating (Hillary brought champagne for us after we walked back down the aisle before we escaped for our sunset photos, the Paesanos catering team fixed us plates of appetizers and dinner and set up our sweetheart table with everything that we needed). Our grand entrance through the barn doors onto the dance floor with the guests circled around the hedges was a major highlight, and the fountain filled with flowers was picture perfect. It has meant the world to us to hear that so many of our guests who attended our wedding have been telling us that it was the best wedding that they have ever been to. Overall, we would so highly recommend Scribner Bend Vineyards for anyone, we would 1000% get married here again. We will be recommending it to all of our friends in the hopes that one day we will get to be the guests at such an awesome wedding venue. Will add more pictures of the venue itself on our wedding day once we get more professionals back :)

Venue considerations

  • No on-site guest accommodations
  • No in-house lighting and sound packages available
  • Limited cleanup and setup services
We had SUCH an amazing experience at Tenaya Lodge! We planned a winter wedding for February and, being from SoCal, it was a bit of a destination wedding for ourselves and our guests. The day went SO seamlessly and the staff were honestly one of my favorite parts of it. Starting with the moment we checked in for the week, everyone from the front desk staff to the waiters at our rehearsal dinner and wedding were so professional, kind, and excited for us. They really added to the experience. The facilities themselves are gorgeous. We got married on the terrace, surrounded by the view of the mountains. My husband and I took a little hike through the grounds with our photographer, it was so fun! Our guests RAVED about the facilities and had so much fun - many of them coordinated family day trips into the park. Some of our classy guests who are used to high end travel were very happy with the service and quality of the resort, restaurant, and bar. Many of our guests were traveling with small children and they also found it a really positive wedding experience - they were able to stay at the wedding all night and the kids had a blast. Some families stayed in the cabins and enjoyed that experience as well. The local vendors are awesome. The only caution I would warn new brides of is to OVER communicate during the planning stage. The wedding brochure is slightly outdated and doesn’t always have complete information. For example, we got caught having to pay an extra 700 to upgrade our meal package to include a third entree after we found out we had more than the allowed number of vegetarians, even though the brochure states that guests on a vegetarian or special diet will be accommodated, and does not state that there is a limit to the number of vegetarian/special diets. I would also encourage brides to use a wedding planner. As a type A person, I thought I could plan the wedding myself. However, the venue hosts many events and the venue coordinator does not always have extra time to really help you plan your dream wedding the way a planner can. Especially if you don’t live locally, you will really benefit from a planner who has worked at the venue before. Overall, we and all of our guests were super happy with our experience at Tenaya and would like to thank all the hard working staff who made our dreams come true!!!

The most amazing experience and venue!!! It is really hard to put into words how in love my husband and I were with our wedding at The Lodge at Two Moons. We had the most incredible experience from our first planning call all the way through the wedding day. Shiloh and her team made the wedding planning so much fun and a seamless experience. It was all a blast, but of course the day of took the cake! We had the amazing opportunity to have the venue for our wedding for the full weekend, so our family and friends were able to enjoy the property all weekend. We held our rehearsal dinner and day of activities all on site. The onsite team was amazing, as well, and truly are the nicest and most thoughtful crew :) The property itself is just gorgeous and made the most amazing setting for our wedding. But, besides just the venue itself it really was The Lodge at Two Moons team that really made our wedding a dream. It was amazing to see the vision I had in my mind truly come to life and look exactly as I had imagined. Shiloh and her team made this happen and with the most professional, caring, communicative, and fun approach. It is really hard to truly explain how much we appreciate them and so happy that the whole team was a part of our day. This place is a dream and we cannot wait to plan other trips up for special celebrations. Thank you to everyone who made our day perfect!

Not only was the venue GORGEOUS, but we, as well as the wedding party, were able to rent the venue the night before and the night of the wedding. It saved us a lot of stress because our wedding party was all in one place! This also allowed our vendors to set up earlier in the day. Working with Meghan to plan our wedding at Convict Lake was a real joy. We had almost a year and a half to walk this road with her, and she was with us every step of the way. Meghan is calm, kind, and professional, and her way of working and communicating instills so much faith in what ultimately becomes a day that goes by so quickly. Meghan was patient and honest when it came to working through details and desires for our wedding day, and she was able to accommodate so much of what we wanted within the requirements of Convict Lake and the National Forest land it leases. Convict Lake Weddings underwent a tough and unexpected transition during our planning period, and Meghan handled it with so much grace and capability. We always knew we were in great hands with her, and the wedding day was more beautiful than we could’ve imagined. We got married in the Aspen grove, and our loved ones described this as feeling like a ‘magical fairytale’. The wedding tent felt cozy and enchanted thanks to many incredible local vendors. The food was absolutely incredible, and everything went smoothly. Meghan checked in with us often and was the person with amazing energy and expertise you want to have by your side on a day like this. If Convict Lake is special to you, we overwhelmingly recommend getting married here.

What Permits Do I Need for a Yosemite Wedding?

Every wedding in Yosemite requires a special use permit costing $150 for most locations and you'll need to secure this well in advance of your date. You should know that ceremony sites enforce strict time limits and prohibit decorations that might impact the natural environment. Your ceremony planning needs to account for the fact that no amplified music is permitted at outdoor sites, and items like rice and flower petals are prohibited to protect the local wildlife.
