I have a long history as a photographer, starting in my twenties with large format view cameras, publishing a book of black and white portraits of Newfoundlanders, studying under Ansel Adams at his Yosemite workshops, and with Aaron Siskind and Harry Callahan at the Rhode Island School of Design. Now, my cameras and equipment are all the latest digital models, but I still rely on my experience and a well trained eye for capturing the optimal moment.

Steve and Rebecca made our Acadia NP elopement something very special! While working with them, my husband and I had nothing but the utmost confidence in them. They are thorough, professional, friendly, personable, organized, and creative. Together they crafted the perfect timeline for our day to keep us on track and got each shot we wanted plus more! They captured every aspect of our elopement, every smile, every laugh, every emotion throughout the day. When looking back at our photos, it's like we are able to step right back into the moment and relive it! They made sure to make our day as smooth as possible. We don't know what we would have done without them!

The 2022 wedding season marks my 10th year photographing weddings - in Maine, New England, and beyond. I love making my couples feel comfortable and beautiful, and I love thoughtfully planned weddings with attention to detail. I bring experience, passion, and artistry to the weddings I photograph. My style of imagery is photojournalistic in nature with a fine art aesthetic. I love natural light, and I love to shoot with film. Love is everywhere. I love to document it.

Hello there! I'm Andrea, owner of Amative Creative, and every weekend we're so blessed to be able to tell the love stories of so many amazing couples. Like many others in this industry might say, we simply adore weddings. But what makes us a little different is our entire brand is centered around telling love stories specifically curated to reflect your vision and aesthetic. "Amative" means to be prone to love, so as you can see, we want nothing more than to tell your love story! But what makes us truly unique is that we understand every love story looks different. And we personalize every aspect of how we document your wedding day!

It gives me no pleasure giving Andrea a less than perfect review, because her pictures are indeed gorgeous and she is a very talented editor and artist, and I do love my photos. With that, there were some things during the process I wish were more transparent and I thought others should be informed. She does not honor her contract at all/it needs to be updated. My signed contract stated I’d receive min 3 previews within 3 days of my wedding. I waited a full week until contacting her; she stated that the contract was “old” and didn’t account for editing…again so update it. OR at the very least admit and let me know you will not be meeting the terms of the agreement and tell me when I can expect them (she didn’t). I had no reason to believe I wouldn’t get previews for over 2 weeks and it was incredibly disappointing/frustrating. Additionally, the photos she chose to include were not what I’d hoped, I had several pictures of my dj but zero of my family…like why? Additionally, 3 days before my wedding she texted me asking if it was okay for her to send someone else to do my wedding. Now, I am understanding of illness and family issues but if you really needed to sub my wedding, call me and and explain. But to put the decision on a CLIENT and ask if they are okay with you not coming as expected put me in a tough position, not to mention a stress I didn’t need before my wedding. The contract also stated I’d get the full gallery by the one month mark, and after I didn’t get the previews until almost then, I knew that timeline was laughable. I was provided no communication as to when I might expect them just that she was “unusually” busy (clearly overbooked, admitting 5 weddings a weekend, etc) Or, you can stalk her IG stories for her queue but that just shows you where you are in line, not when you can expect anything. Eventually I received my photos 16weeks after my wedding. While they were absolutely stunning, I was still a little upset about little details ignored (leaving scratches when I specifically asked to have them concealed out) or photos that were only provided in black and white, when I wanted color or the option for both. I’ll wrap up by saying yes her photos are amazing but go in aware deadlines won’t be met or communicated and you’re not guaranteed to actually have Andrea herself (I’m sure her whole team is amazing, shout out to Jo!) it’s clear anyone on her team is interchangeable. If you’re not bothered by any of that she’s amazing!

I have been a photographer for 8 years. Throughout my time as a photographer I’ve captured clothing, models, and memories. I shifted from corporate shootings to families and weddings because it gave me this warm fuzzy feeling when I edited my couples and families photos. Don’t be afraid to reach out to me and ask about my photography style, my editing style, or my favorite restaurant! I highly recommend scheduling a free consulting session!

Booking Grace and Oury Memories just three and a half weeks before our wedding was a stroke of luck! From our first meeting to the wedding day, Grace's professionalism and warmth shone through. Hi ya’ll! I’m Nat. I’m a southerner who’s recently moved to New England. I am thrilled to be a photographer and part of making memories with you! There is something truly special about being the person who creates lasting stories to share. My love for photography began when my great grandmother gave me her point and shoot camera, and since then, I have been hooked. Some of my favorite things include espresso tonics, thunderstorms, and bookstores. As a photographer, I live for the fleeting moments of light and stories. I do my best to capture those moments with my cameras, and I find great joy in doing so.

Hey there! I'm Emma - a wedding and lifestyle photographer of 5 years, chasing moments and capturing love, laughter, and all the good stuff in between. Born and raised in Maine, I dream of one day retiring there by the sea, like a real life Miss Rumphius. But until then, I live just outside of Boston with my husband and our three cats. I'm married to my high school sweetheart, but we waited more than a decade before saying our own vows. Sometimes (okay, often) I eat cake for breakfast, so you can always count on me to help taste test yours. If I'm not photographing people in love, I'm probably enjoying a glass (bottle) of champagne on the couch or planning my next adventure. I believe everything is better by the ocean and you should never wait to explore the world.

As a wedding planner, I work with a lot of photographers, and Kendra remains one of my all-time favorites to know and work with. She is organized and professional, puts all of her couples at ease, and above all else, her work is stunning. The way she captures color, emotion, and details - plus all of the candid moments - is so special and can be hard to come by! I recommend Kendra to all of my couples, and everyone that knows her feels an immediate connection. She's one of those people that feels like an old friend right away, and is so good at making everyone around her feel comfortable and supported. I'd highly recommend hiring Kendra as your wedding photographer!

Silvia Gilbert Photography

Bow, NH
  • Fine art style
  • Starts at $3,000
  • Serves Woolwich, ME

I am a caffeine addict who never sleeps. I love a good thunderstorm and playing Candy Crush for the brain breaks. I adore all kinds of dogs, but I have a special love for German Shepherds. My all-time favorite thing is to sit by the fire with a glass of good cabernet or watch the ocean waves hit the beach. I love to garden and to build things (but I let my husband to finish all my projects LOL). I enjoy good food and will likely refer to a stand up comedy routine at least once in a conversation. I am also a football mom, lacrosse mom and basketball mom. Wife to a very understanding husband and emotional support person for my big puppies.

If you're on the hunt for a wedding photographer who not only captures every intricate detail but also brings a sense of ease and joy to your special day, look no further than Silvia Gilbert Photography. From the moment we met her, we knew she was the perfect fit for our wedding, and boy, did she exceed our expectations! Silvia] has an unparalleled knack for capturing the essence of each moment, from the stolen glances between the newlyweds to the delicate lace on the bride's gown. Her attention to detail is simply remarkable; every shot she takes feels like a work of art, meticulously composed and brimming with emotion. But what truly sets Silvia apart is her easy-going personality. Despite the inevitable chaos of a wedding day, she remained calm, cool, and collected, effortlessly putting us at ease and allowing us to fully enjoy the festivities. Her warm demeanor and infectious enthusiasm made the entire experience feel like a breeze, and her presence felt more like that of a dear friend rather than a hired vendor. Not only did Silvia capture all the big moments beautifully, but she also had a remarkable ability to capture the small, fleeting moments that we may have otherwise missed. Looking through our wedding album, we were transported back to that magical day, reliving every laugh, tear, and heartfelt exchange. In short, Silvia Gilbert Photography is a true gem in the world of wedding photography. If you want stunning photos and a stress-free experience, entrust her with your special day—you won't be disappointed.
