“The folks at Embark Films were an absolute pleasure to work with. We spoke with Jesse in the weeks leading up to our wedding to go over the plan of the day and discuss what kind of style we would want the final film to be. The communication here was great. Now, we were initially a little put off by the fact that we wouldn’t be meeting our actual videographer in person until the wedding day, but it really was not an issue. These guys are pros who made sure to work with us every step of the way.
Our videographer, Pat, worked seamlessly with our DJ to record the sound system during the ceremony. He also worked around (and sometimes with) our photographer as she was directing everyone. Though that’s not to say he wasn’t willing to call out some shots he wanted to grab as well. Personally, I really appreciated that he did a little directing too, as I knew he was involved and thinking ahead about the story they would have in the final video. When it was time for him to pack up, he came to us to make sure there wasn’t anything else we wanted in the film, then was kind enough to stay late to capture a line dancing event we had planned for the reception.
After the wedding, we watched the highlight film and had a few tweaks to the included voice overs that we wanted to make. They took detailed requests to make sure everything was just right when it came to the final edit and produced some really stellar work. It was exactly the style we were hoping for, with great music choices, and an impeccable flow that brings us and our families so much joy to watch. Pat and Jesse made the whole process simple yet collaborative, and they had the skills to give us some truly special memories. Highly recommend!”
