All of our hard serve ice cream is homemade on premises at our shop in Orleans. We use only the finest ingredients available and hand fold in the mix-ins such as chocolate chips, nuts, and fruit. We use fresh milk and cream with a high butterfat content that allows the flavor to come to the front. The final product is creamy, smooth and full of flavor.

Owner Shauna Hinchen-Joyal studied pastry arts at Johnson and Wales University and has worked in the baking industry for over 20 years, making specialty event and wedding cakes as well as her signature pastries. Shauna and her husband and partner Bob have been trained by an expert baristas at Atomic Coffee Roasters and are proud to serve drinks brewed with their beans. All our espresso drinks are made with our gorgeous Italian made La Marzocco machine.

Two Best Friends who love to bake and design! Tracy and Jennie are two creative souls who have come together to share their love for baking. Tracy, with over 10 years in a corporate career, has always been drawn to creativity, from weaving and making art to whipping up delicious treats in the kitchen. With her husband and two young daughters cheering her on, Tracy’s passion for baking has become a family affair.

It all started 9 years ago when I started dating Diane’s son (my now husband). For our first Valentine’s day I made him chocolate chip cookies in the shape of hearts. Diane tried one and said, yep, this girl can bake. Diane has been making every flavor Christmas cookie under the sun since 1993. After tasting my chocolate chip cookie that day she brought me on as her helper and we would bake away during the holidays. Fast forward a few years and we have decided to make this a full time adventure!

I am a small, one woman-operated home bakery that specializes in custom buttercream cakes and macarons for birthdays, engagement parties, and small weddings. I began as a cake artist in 2020 and have fallen in love with creating realistic buttercream flowers and piping vintage-style Lambeth cakes.

I'm a former costume designer and fashion historian with a PhD in English literature, now using my love of art, craft, and design to create one-of-a-kind custom wedding cakes! CHIC is a culmination of my retail, styling, and design background. Truthfully, the idea of this little biz was created while on lockdown during the pandemic, a little unorthodox I know, but I was determined.
