The island, amenities, and cabins were clean and comfy with picturesque views that made the weekend surreal. Not to mention the food was out of this world. Originally when I saw the inn I wasn’t sold, it’s slightly dated (but charming) and would be a bit far for friends and family (we live in Boston and family all over) but their responsiveness and flexibility sold us. They were so nice and so accommodating the entire way. We loved that people could stay on site ( but no minimum night stay requirement) or could stay at b&b or Airbnb in town. The activities like the pool and golf were great too. Everything, including the weather was perfect. We did a tented wedding which I loved, I didn’t like that cocktail hour was near the parking lot, but in the end it really didn’t matter. The food was excellent, they let us really chose anything we wanted and made it happen. They made the signature cocktails just like we requested and they were so delicious. Everyone on site was so incredibly friendly from bar tenders to servers. Jonathan was an awesome day of coordinator and really made sure it was smooth and easy, the staff did all the setting up and it looked beautiful. All our guests loved the bethel inn too! During our process the inn did get bought by a larger company but we never noticed any change in our planning and process. I’m not sure if they are going to continue to have weddings under new management but if they do- I say do it! Loved it so much! We took photos at their boat house and they were so kind to prepare a canoe and clean it, our photographers were impressed!

Sunday River has always held a special place in our hearts—it’s where my husband and I met and started our relationship—so there was truly no question where we would get married. From start to finish, the Sunday River Wedding Company made our dream day a reality. We hosted our entire wedding weekend at the Jordan Hotel, which was absolutely beautiful and provided the perfect backdrop for our celebration. Having our rehearsal dinner, welcome party, ceremony, and reception all in one central location was an absolute game-changer for our guests and made the entire weekend feel like a seamless, stress-free experience. The natural beauty of the venue is unmatched; our wedding was in late September, and the leaves had just started to turn, creating jaw-dropping foliage that framed our ceremony. You truly cannot beat the mountain views from the ceremony spot—it was breathtaking. What made the experience even better was the incredible team and their commitment to personal service. Our wedding coordinator went above and beyond, taking the time to truly get to know us and understand our vision. She personally helped with the decor setup and brought my ideas to life even better than I had imagined. I had mentioned wanting a seating chart that looked like a Sunday River trail map, and while I had explored options on Etsy, the resort actually designed a custom one for us that was stunning and perfectly captured our history with the mountain. The hospitality throughout the weekend was top-tier, starting with the food, which was absolutely out of this world. Our banquet manager provided the best service we could have asked for, and I felt completely supported throughout the entire reception. Being checked on and cared for by the staff allowed us to actually stay in the moment and enjoy ourselves. Sunday River went above and beyond to make our day special, and the time they took to understand us as a couple really stood out. If you want a venue with world-class customer service in a location you truly cannot beat, I cannot recommend the Sunday River Wedding Company enough!

Words can’t describe how amazing Granite Ridge and the whole team is to work with. Stephanie and I were married on 10-5-2019; we were the 100th wedding. We live in RI, but love Maine so much and knew we needed to be married someplace that fit us. I started searching locations that were either very rustic, working farms, fun barns with personality to unique locations. This is when I can across Granite Ridge. The day we first went to look at the venue, we arrived in Norway a bit early and decided to take a walk around. Miki soon arrived and took us up to her property. From the moment we met her she had a personality that made us feel comfortable. She brought us to the barn first and before we could even get out of her car, Steph was determined this was the place for us to be married. Walking into the barn, the view of the mountains just takes you over. It is a very simple barn, but the chandeliers make it feel so special. We took a walk down to the ceremony space and knew this was where we wanted to say I DO. We loved the intimate feel of the space encapsulated by the woods. Miki took us to the estate house, and wow is all I have to say. During our weekend stay we utilized all that the house had to offer. From the hot tub to the amazing wood grill they have. We sat in front of the fireplace from morning to night laughing, having a great time. Waking up to my wife the morning after our wedding with views of the clouds still below the mountains with speckles of red, yellow and orange trees was something I will never forget. The whole time working with Gabe was amazing; I cannot speak more highly of him. He listened and answered any questions we had quickly. It was great getting to learn about his hot sauce company, The Spicy Shark. The Reaper one will make anyone happy who loves spicy things. From the views to the hospitality, Granite Ridge is a one of a kind venue that any couple will fall in love with.
