Sea Winds is an authentic New England farm house with stunning views of Penobscot Bay, on 80 acres of woods, blueberry fields, and rolling lawns. We are a family gathering space that combines historic charm with modern coastal comfort. Sea Winds is ideally located close to some of Maine’s best hiking, boating, wildlife viewing, gallery hopping, antiquing, and dining experiences.     Sea Winds is magic!

    My wife Emily and I could not have asked for a better spot to celebrate our wedding. The venue itself is straight out of a postcard: well-tended lawns and blueberry fields surround a classic New England bed home and post-and-beam barn, which mix classic charm with modern updates and all the amenities you could hope for. We stayed in the wedding suite, a sun-filled, comfortable space with great views where we could slip away from the hubbub for a few minutes alone, and jump right back into the party as soon as we were ready. The field in front of the house, where we held our ceremony, overlooks a panoramic view of forested islands, the sailboat-dotted cove, and the ocean beyond. The staff at Sea Winds was as lovely as the place itself. The venue manager and coordinator maintained open, consistent communication with our vendors and our wedding planner, ensuring that everything went smoothly during planning, setup, and on the day itself. The competence and hard work of the folks at Sea Winds allowed Emily and me to focus on simply enjoying the day, instead of stressing about details and logistics. All in all, our wedding was amazing, full of laughter and love, spontaneity and joy, great food and music and a felt sense of community. During and after the event, one guest after another remarked that it was the most fun they'd ever had at a wedding. Of course, this had everything to do with the incredible work of our vendors, our planner, our band, and of course the crew at Sea Winds. But it also had to do with the magic of the place itself, this home and property that has been stewarded with care for so many years, that has hosted many a joyous gathering, that is imbued with the warmth of the dappled sun and the refreshing breeze coming in off the ocean. Simply put, Sea Winds is magic, and that magic elevated our wedding from a well-planned, enjoyable event to an unforgettable, one-of-a-kind experience.

    Beautiful Maine Venue

    Seawinds, oh my, a place right out of a novel. Breathtaking views, with an historic seafaring history it served as the perfect venue for our daughters’ wedding. Living on the West Coast, we had many options for picture-postcard venues and were fortunate to have a family member mention this hidden beauty on the East coast. Worth every mile travelled as we stepped onto a gem tucked away near Brooksville, Maine. Fantastic picturesque views of Penobscot bay, a barn and home from the mid 1800’s on 100 acres of pristine fields puts you at ease right from the start. Wild blueberries grow all around you, tempting you to stop and snack as you wander about. It’s peaceful, serene and surreal with gentle sea breezes coursing through the tall grass to lull you into a dreamlike state. . There is plenty of space for parking on the venue site, plenty of room to roam, and several intimate areas for either large or smaller events. It’s an ideal setting for pictures and building lasting memories. Our hosts were very accommodating and fun to work with and assisted us with housing and all the details. We also enjoyed the little town of Brooksville. Charming East Coast setting with plenty to explore. While ours was a smaller wedding, there is so much space that it can easily accommodate a larger event. We can’t say enough about our choice to have an event here. This Father of the Bride truly enjoyed it all.

    Picturesque Wedding Venue

    If you’re searching for a wedding venue that feels both effortlessly beautiful and genuinely welcoming, Sea Winds in Brooksville, Maine is truly something special. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the picturesque setting—coastal views, lush greenery, and a peaceful charm that made the entire experience feel like a dream. We hosted a small family wedding outdoors under the Linden tree, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The setting felt intimate, meaningful, and incredibly serene—exactly what we had hoped for. The grounds are impeccably maintained, with every detail thoughtfully cared for. It created the perfect backdrop for both our ceremony and photos, and our guests couldn’t stop commenting on how stunning everything looked. What really set Sea Winds apart, though, was the staff. They were incredibly accommodating, responsive, and kind throughout the entire process. Whether it was answering questions, helping coordinate details, or making sure everything ran smoothly on the big day, they made us feel supported every step of the way. Brooksville itself added another layer of magic. It’s a quaint, charming town with plenty for guests to enjoy—beautiful scenery, local spots to explore, and a relaxed coastal vibe that made the whole weekend feel like a mini getaway. We couldn’t have imagined a better place to celebrate such an important moment. Sea Winds delivered on every level, and we would wholeheartedly recommend it to any couple looking for a breathtaking and memorable wedding experience.

    Unforgettable and Unique

    From the moment we started planning our wedding at Sea Winds, we knew we were in for something special. The team's thoughtful approach meant we didn't have to stress about logistics on the big day at all—we could just be present with each other while they handled every detail with care. The team gave us complete control to shape the day exactly as we wanted in advance, and then ensured it flowed perfectly, from the food to speeches to music to dancing. We are normally fairly quiet and understated people, and our friends and family expressed a bit of shock at how fun and powerful the whole event turned out to be. As we approach our ten year anniversary, now a family of four, we look back on our wedding at Sea Winds as a truly beautiful and appropriate initial celebration of our lifelong partnership. If you want a venue that feels unique and magical, guided by a team that genuinely cares, this is it.
