“Sweetwater Branch Inn (SWB) went above and BEYOND to make my wedding weekend everything I had dreamed of—and more. If I could give SWB a million out of five stars, I absolutely would! My wedding was on March 16, 2025, and originally planned as an outdoor event. The team at SWB was incredibly flexible, allowing me to get creative with the venue and hold the ceremony and dinner in a different location than they usually do which was impressive in itself! Just days before the wedding, a storm was predicted to hit. At the last minute, we ordered a tent for the gardens (something that had never been done before), completely reworked the layout we had spent over a year planning, and somehow, everything turned out perfectly! Adrienne, the event coordinator, and Angel, the food and beverage coordinator, were nothing short of incredible. Adrienne went above and beyond, dedicating extra time and effort to ensure my vision came to life, even with the last-minute changes. Every single member of the staff was truly wonderful. My close family stayed at the Inn and didn’t want to leave! Guests traveled from Canada, New York City, and even Sydney, Australia—and every single one of them raved about their stay. From the friendly and helpful staff to the elegant decor and the delicious food (both at breakfast and the wedding!), they were beyond impressed. St. Andrew's Episcopal Church (aka Old St. Andrew's) was designed by architect Robert S. Schuyler in the Gothic Revival style. Schuyler also designed St. Peter's Church in Fernandina, built in 1881, as well as chapels in Waldo, Fairbanks, Pablo Beach, and Lake Santa Fe. St. Andrew's was built in 1887 on a single level using brick masonry and contained a massive front corner tower with louvered belfry and steep spire roof. It stood at 317 Florida Avenue, now 317 A. Phillip Randolph Boulevard. St. Andrew's was the only major church in the city that survived the Great Fire of 1901.
