I grew up with a mom and sister who took vanity very seriously. I began my career in event makeup in my hometown, Shelby, Ohio. I was recruited by MAC Cosmetics and was thoroughly trained in color theory and cosmetic chemistry. Soon after, I was trained by nurse injectors to identify proportionate face shapes, learning how to attain them with makeup.
