“Frank was awesome. From the start, we really enjoyed working with him. He was professional and to the point, yet still personable and fun. He was really organized and his website helped us get ourselves and our day organized, especially his timeline template. He was happy to take all of our requests (we had a few playlists put together) and took requests from our guests. He was extremely attentive during cocktail hour and dinner and checked in multiple times to make sure everybody understood the timeline and was ready for cake cutting, speeches, etc. And not just with us, but with our involved family and friends, too. He absolutely killed the reception (in the best way) playlist. Our dance floor was consistently busy and full of people jumping around. We got so many compliments on the DJ. THANK YOU Frank!”

While their communication was a bit delayed leading up to the event, they were ultimately effective in executing on the day-of. The DJ kept the party going all night with a good song selection, though they did play 3 Taylor Swift songs in a row at the start, which we would have preferred more variety. The MC's ad-libs got a little overbearing at times, but overall they did a nice job sticking to the schedule and making important announcements. “We found Bluewater Kings through the preferred vendor list at our venue , and we are so glad we did. They invited us to come hear them play at a live showcase, and we were immediately sold. We booked them that same night. One of the best parts of working with them was the planning process. Their online planning portal made it so easy to update our preferences and make adjustments in the months leading up to the wedding. Molly was incredibly helpful and always quick to respond to any questions we had, which made everything feel seamless and organized. We also used their “iPad DJ” option so we could customize our cocktail hour and dinner playlists, along with a few songs during the band’s breaks. It was the perfect balance of adding our own personal touches while still trusting them to play what they know keeps the energy up. The band itself was amazing. “DJ Martin is the man!! I wish I could hangout with him EVERY weekend! He did our wedding for us and I can tell you the amount of effort he put into it before and during! They dressed appropriately for our wedding theme and many of the guests at the Hawthorne Hotel wanted to take pictures with Karlea in her Twenties attire. In addition to being a wonderful experience, they were also a great value for the price. These are top quality musicians and we paid a reasonable price for the band. We had a bit of a shorter wedding day and limited time to set up, but he was great through it all. From the moment he began the evening with quiet and soft jazz music for the cocktail and hors d’oeuvres hour, he was able to match the energy of the night with ease. He even played some authentic Hispanic music to make sure my family heard something familiar and enjoyable. I would absolutely recommend DJ Parker with so much faith for your special day. He even danced to some ABBA towards the end of the night and tastefully added a nice touch of performance “with the show”.
