I'm a born-and-raised Missourian (where did you go to high school?) and a mom to our four-year-old little boy, a baby girl, and one boxer/pit mix named Grizzly. RosAmungThorns Floral and Gift was established in May of 2013 as Springfield’s premier local flower shop. We are also known as the home of the lady bug! You may be wondering by now about the unusual spelling of the company name. It is not a typo – in fact, my grandpa used to call me “the rose among thorns.” When I opened my first email account, I wanted to honor that, but the correct spelling was taken. Therefore, “RosAmungThorns” was the obvious next choice! So, when I opened up my own flower shop, it was an easy transfer of my brand. We, my husband and I, started Fleurology for the need for a stronger connection with clients + the want to spend more time at home. We didn't know what we were in for with Fleurology Designs, but after 10 years in the floral industry (7 of those being with weddings and private events) my husband told me it was now or never to pursue my passions of being a business owner.
