We are a new venue open less than a year. The building was a former Masonic lodge building. We totally remodeled it while trying to preserve some of the character. It has the original yellow pine flooring. Freshly painted walls. A small warming kitchen for renters or caterers to use. The restrooms are handicap accessible. Jackalope Brewing Co. was founded in 2011 with a goal of fostering community, sustainability and inclusivity. Jackalope prides itself on being a welcoming place to come together over legendary beers. Our private event space, The Loft, comfortably seats around 60 guests and allows for 125 guests standing. The Loft is perfect for rehearsal dinners, engagement parties, receptions or farewell brunches. Guests can plan on enjoying a selection of beers while overlooking our brewing operations from the second floor windows. Our guest describe our place as rustic elegance in a quiet tranquil location that you will want to come back and visit over and over again.

Burdoc Farms has been owned and operated by the Shepherd family since 1942. With over 650 acres of open fields there are 2 different venues on the property for weddings. In 2012, the Shepherds hosted a wedding on the family farm. All the guests talked about was how beautiful the farm was and how they should be doing weddings full time. The Shepherd family converted the tobacco-cattle barn into a reception barn with all the amenities; bathrooms, kitchen, and electricity. The Shepherd family painstakingly rehabbed and recycled all of the materials in both barns to enhance and preserve the authenticity of the buildings. After converting the Tobacco Barn, they booked 24 weddings and then the next year they booked 38 weddings. In 2016, they decided to expand the business and build a year-round building, Keith Glen, in another location of the farm. Burdoc Farms hosts 60 to 80 weddings a year with couples coming from all over the country and a few from overseas!
