About this venue
Burdoc Farms has been owned and operated by the Shepherd family since 1942. With over 650 acres of open fields there are 2 different venues on the property for weddings. In 2012, the Shepherds hosted a wedding on the family farm. All the guests talked about was how beautiful the farm was and how they should be doing weddings full time. The Shepherd family converted the tobacco-cattle barn into a reception barn with all the amenities; bathrooms, kitchen, and electricity. The Shepherd family painstakingly rehabbed and recycled all of the materials in both barns to enhance and preserve the authenticity of the buildings. After converting the Tobacco Barn, they booked 24 weddings and then the next year they booked 38 weddings. In 2016, they decided to expand the business and build a year-round building, Keith Glen, in another location of the farm. Burdoc Farms hosts 60 to 80 weddings a year with couples coming from all over the country and a few from overseas!

Keith Glen Venue
Keith Glen is the newest addition to Burdoc Farms. The venue is in the woods by a pond with a lighted fountain, surrounded by fields and forest. With a more modern industrial look, and a 30 foot wall of windows that face the pond and woods , at Keith Glen you can still enjoy the natural beauty of Burdoc Farms. Several chandeliers, string lights, a copper bar top, natural wood farm tables and a natural stone fireplace add to the beauty of the building.

The Tobacco Barn
The Tobacco barn provides a rustic but elegant setting for your wedding reception. This 4000 square foot barn boast five grand crystal chandeliers and Edison bulb string lights hang in the barn to provide that special fairytale mood every bride wants on her wedding day. There is a cool bar area for the guys to hang out, as well as a deck on the back of the barn where guest can relax on handmade pallet furniture that overlooks a pond.

The Chapel Barn
The Chapel barn is our plan “B” if Mother Nature decides not to cooperate with us on your wedding day. The 4000 square foot barn has natural wood floors, wooden beams, a tin roof, Edison string lightening that enhances the natural beauty of the barn and a chandelier to add some elegance. With old church pews, an arch and many other natural features, you might want to get married here whatever the weather maybe.

Gorgeous & Staff is lovely
If you're wanting a venue that is in nature, but not too casual like a barn, nor too fancy like a garden with marble, the Keith Glen venue is for you! It's truly gorgeous & the privacy of being on a large made it feel like we were in a world of our own. The staff was all lovely to work & their relationship is very family oriented (even for those working there that aren't family). They also gave us access to the venue starting at 12am on the day we booked them and only requested we to be out by midnight that night, which is a policy I was super grateful for. Definitely pay extra for the staff to help for clean up! It's 100% worth the money. The only note I have on this venue as whole is: be proactive with the bar because I had to follow up 2-3 times to finally get the initial meeting / follow up done.

My husband and I got married at the Tobacco Barn. It was absolutely beautiful! The overlook deck made for stunning photos at sunset. This place has so much charm and character, and the staff is very helpful at the end of the night! The bridal house was such a cozy place to get ready in. We’re so sad it’s over, but so happy we went with Burdoc!
