The in house team is incredible - Kasie, Kaitlin and Sarah were responsive to every question we had, providing recommendations and offering up any help needed to bring our vision to life. I love that they went above and beyond and sourced local whiskey for our specialty cocktail! Their enormous storage closet of wedding decor saved us a lot of money too. Everything will go smoothly with the Armory team at the helm - they have running events down to a science. The entire space is so beautiful that you do not need to spend on decor - it is industrial but still warm and inviting. The lighting is perfect, the sound system is flawless, and their pulley system of curtains makes for a seamless and beautiful transition between ceremony to cocktail hour to reception. The lofted getting ready suite is enormous which was a huge plus: we are an LGBT couple so we had 2 brides and 20 other people eating brunch and getting ready together and we all fit. I am an event planner as my day job so I have high standards and a *lot* of opinions when it comes to events, and there's not a single thing I would have changed or done differently!

We booked our April wedding at Cacapon and it was perfect. We booked the Old Inn for the Rehearsal Dinner and as a place for us and the bridal party to stay. The ceremony took place out on the terrace and the reception was inside the ballroom. Everything was perfect!

Mark and Karlen have been restoring the farm for 19 years, one thing has been maintained as much as possible in its original form, the barn. The historic late 1800’s bank barn has many of the original board siding, only to be replaced in-like when needed. It boasts a very large 4 bay layout with the original chestnut flooring. The board siding allows the light to dance off the beautiful wood floors. It is a privilege for Mark and Karlen to invite you into their treasured barn and grounds.

Zigbone Farm was the spiritual heart of our wedding. As soon as we booked this venue, everything flowed from there. Schedule, design and theme, decisions about other vendors and guest list — everything else became easier because this venue provided such a gorgeously strong anchor point in the middle of our special celebration. What more can you ask for? Every single vendor commented on the uncommon beauty and peace of this venue. We loved having our welcome dinner here on Friday night and having a local vendor make pizza in the cob oven. On Saturday when it rained, we didn’t have to worry because we knew the lodge house would beautifully accommodate our guests for cocktail hour and that the pavilion and event hall would be fine if the rain didn’t stop (it did, and we got a double rainbow!). On Sunday, we hosted a beautiful farewell breakfast. It was so wonderful to be able to have so many friends stay on site with us, and to have some space from them in the bridal suite. Not having to leave the property once during the entire weekend was such a blessing and kept things from feeling too busy or crazy. Marijke was our main contact and she was so quick to respond to any questions we had and really fun to interact with. She clearly loves this place and has a deep enthusiasm for the couples who celebrate there. Our guests who stayed on site felt so spoiled and kept remarking on how relaxed they felt, that it felt like a true retreat for them even amid a busy schedule of events. We really hope to return to Zigbone for a reunion one day, what a special sacred place. I cannot recommend it enough to any couple marrying. Especially as a queer couple, we felt deeply affirmed, safe and celebrated here. Thank you Marijke and Dena!!

Paul and Mary are incredible to work with and see to it that your dream wedding comes true. They have so many suggestions to provide, plus they want you to share your vision and truly understand what is important to you. From the initial tour to the clean-up the next day, they were helpful in every step. All of my wedding guests were talking about it being the best venue they'd ever seen and already planning future weddings there. Maryland National was the PERFECT venue for our wedding! From the very beginning, Reghan and the whole team were incredible. Reghan went above and beyond to help us plan everything – she was so easy to work with and always had the best recommendations. I loved how easy it was to communicate with her through email. We got married at our church, but had the reception at Maryland National. They even let us use the club to get ready since our church didn't have a space! The girls got ready upstairs, and the guys used the locker rooms, which was amazing for getting-ready photos. Plus, the food was delicious! What we loved most was that we didn't have to set up or clean up anything – Maryland National took care of it all. We didn't even have to take decorations home the night of the wedding! We could pick them up the next day. It was the most perfect day, and we can't thank Reghan and the staff enough. Seriously, if you're looking for an amazing venue, this is it!

Jason (owner), Michele (coordinator), and the whole staff went above and beyond to make our wedding day and weekend perfect. The Lodge is beautiful for every season of the year. We had our reception and ceremony there, and the package included a bridal suite, which was so big and perfect for getting ready. It was so nice to have everything in one place. They have different wedding packages and separate alcohol packages to choose from depending on your budget. Our bartender Julie was amazing! She worked with us for our signature drinks and went above and beyond! Our package also included a DJ which gave us one less thing to worry about while planning. Our DJ John Wiggins was awesome! He had everyone on the dance floor at all times and was great to communicate with. Jason also recommended the best caterer in the area and the food was excellent. I can’t thank Jason and Michelle enough for making our day so special. We will continue to come back and stay for years to come!

WOW! That’s all I can think of. This venue is beyond perfect, with the kindest people! Our wedding day, and the days planning it could not have been more perfect. She was willing to work with us for anything we needed The venue itself is gorgeous!! From the vineyards, the views, the barn reception area… it’s so beautiful outside and so cute inside. I truly didn’t feel like I had to go overboard with decorations, as the place itself great. I highly suggest touring the venue, it’s SO worth it!

We have used Tenth Ward multiple times for our team meetings and holiday parties, and I have attended many more events and meetings at their beautiful space. The historic wedding venue is woman-owned and features wall-to-wall exposed brick, large industrial windows, and beautiful original hardwood floors. It is on the second floor and requires stairs to access but it is worth the short climb. The staff is very responsive and easy to work with. In addition to business meetings I know they host weddings. I am sure it would be a wonderful venue for this as well!

Walker's Overlook is a hidden gem and was the perfect venue for our October wedding! The ceremony area is absolutely gorgeous and provides an incredible backdrop for photos, while the reception tent offers a cozy, rustic vibe complete with wood floors and string lights. The owners, Mark and David, are the best. They are both super hands-on and were great to communicate with throughout the whole process. Mark checked in on us regularly during the year leading up to our wedding and made sure we knew exactly what to expect on the wedding day. One of the best things about Walker's is that they provide an in-house wedding coordinator, so we didn't need to hire a separate planner. Our coordinator, Tammy, was INCREDIBLE -- she knows the industry inside and out and made our wedding day completely seamless and stress-free. Found this venue through zola and ended up being the perfect place for our wedding! Not only is the venue, beautiful and historic the food and the ambience was great! We were planning this wedding from afar, and Justine was a perfect host and responded quickly to any request we had. She basically planned our whole wedding for us down to the cake and flowers and we couldn’t be happier. We were not working with a huge budget and they were able to accommodate our every need. We had an adorable ceremony inside the venue with dinner and reception afterwards. A full buffet with all the fixings and incredible appetizers.
