“We held our September 2025 wedding reception at The Rittenhouse. The food was excellent, the space looked beautiful, and the service on the wedding day was wonderful. Our dedicated server was spectacular both during our tasting and at the reception—attentive, warm, and one of the true standouts of our experience.
The planning process was more challenging. Even after Jarret and I specifically asked to be included directly in decisions, communication often continued through our planner. This was especially frustrating because our planner was not providing the level of attentiveness promised, making direct communication with the venue even more important.
We were also supposed to meet with the pastry team, but that meeting never happened. Although the cake tasted good, its appearance fell short of what we envisioned and felt like an afterthought in the overall design.
After the wedding, aside from a congratulatory email that included our paid folios, no one meaningfully followed up to ask about our experience or invite feedback. Given the level of the event and The Rittenhouse’s reputation for luxury hospitality, we found that surprising.
Overall, the culinary and banquet teams delivered an excellent reception, and our guests were very well cared for. We are grateful for the beautiful celebration, while believing the communication, pastry-design process, and post-event follow-up could have been much stronger.”
