“We truly could not have asked for a better experience than what we had with Alaina Rineman and the team at Hotel Gettysburg. Together, they made our wedding weekend seamless, stress-free, and truly unforgettable. Planning a wedding can feel overwhelming, but Alaina made the entire process feel manageable and even enjoyable. From the very beginning, Alaina was phenomenal. She responded to my initial inquiry within minutes and remained just as attentive throughout the entire planning process. She was always available to answer questions, walk through details, and offer thoughtful suggestions. She really took the time to get to know us as a couple, which made her suggestions feel personal and meaningful. On the wedding day, Alaina handled everything behind the scenes flawlessly. Any hiccups were taken care of immediately, and we never felt stressed or distracted. She also went above and beyond for our guests, especially ensuring accommodations for those staying at the hotel and even arranging a to-go meal for a guest observing a religious fast. That level of care meant so much to us. Hotel Gettysburg itself was the perfect venue. Located right in the heart of downtown, it offered a beautiful mix of historic charm and convenience. Our guests loved being able to walk around the square, and the hotel provided so many great gathering spaces—including One Lincoln, the Hotel’s own bar and restaurant. The on-site Starbucks was also a huge bonus! The on-site catering was also exquisite. We chose to do a buffet and the food choices were all delicious! Many of our guests returned for second and third helpings of the entrees. The highlight for me is how incredibly picture-worthy the Hotel is, with stunning spots both inside and outside (the bank vault in the ballroom was a favorite!) for amazing wedding photos. Even with nearly 200 guests, the space allowed for comfortable mingling and dancing. The bridal suite and thoughtful touches like packaged cake slices, chocolate-covered fruit, and souvenir champagne glasses made us feel so special. Pro Tip: I also highly recommend working with Visit Gettysburg. They provided free welcome packets for our guests filled with brochures, discounts, and even kid-friendly items, which enhanced the experience for our guests that stayed the full weekend. Because of Alaina, I felt completely at ease and confident that everything was in good hands. When I look back on our wedding day, she is absolutely part of those memories—not just as a coordinator, but as someone who helped make the day feel so special. “Lakewood Estates is the perfect venue for a wedding in Huntingdon County. Katie is so great to work with and made planning so easy. The venue space is easily customizable and versatile to whatever decor you bring. You have plenty of time to set up and tear down if you are staying the whole weekend. Plus, our wedding was in July and the A/C was AMAZING for our guests on such a hot day! Our guests could not stop complimenting the venue. I love how tucked away we felt but with such close proximity to town. The Manor House is beautiful and the perfect place to stay and get ready. The bridesmaids and groomsmen were able to stay the night before, and everyone was able to get ready in the separate bridal suite and groomsmen lounge. I highly recommend Lakewood Estates for your wedding or event venue.”

“We had the most amazing experience working with Precious and Sarah from the day we first visited the property, to the food & beverage tasting, and finally the day of. They accommodated every dietary restriction/request we had with grace (I am a vegetarian with a few vegan guests and wanted to ensure most of the meal fit this restriction). They also worked hard to ensure we had a great spread of local beer and wine in addition to an incredible signature cocktail. Our guests truly have not stopped raving about the food & drinks, and several have commented on our wedding being the best they have ever attended, and they themselves wanting to get married here (the food especially IS THAT GOOD!!!). We are one of few couples to walk away from the wedding planning process wishing we could do it all over again because it was such a magical and stress-free experience. We were able to drop off all of our decor and desserts the night before at the rehearsal, and they set everything up for us the day of. Our weather was 50 degrees and raining the entire day, but Precious reassured me several times that it would not disturb my vision for the day, and it didn't! The covered patio stayed totally dry, they set out a couple of blankets for our guests to use during the ceremony, and whoever wanted to eat inside was welcome to if they were too cold (it was totally up to me if I wanted them to move everything inside), but most didn't end up minding the cold at all! We even tried to move the dance floor inside, but it got so warm we ended up back outside pretty quickly. This is just one example of how accommodating and flexible the entire staff was for us. From the minute I met Precious, the chef, and later Sarah, I felt more like a friend than a client and we continue to look for ways to make the 2.5 hour drive back to visit/have other events there. The venue have 2 large rooms, one of which has dual balconies for more seating. also have a great covered outdoor space and the most amazing view for the ceremony space. BOOK IT!!”

​Heritage Restored is a farm that will give you the setting for your wedding or special event that evokes a sense of history, peaceful views, and plenty of space to utilize. The 57 acre property will give a deep breath of relaxation to your event and can accommodate over 200 guests. Mark and Karlen have been restoring the farm for 19 years, one thing has been maintained as much as possible in its original form, the barn. The historic late 1800’s bank barn has many of the original board siding, only to be replaced in-like when needed. It boasts a very large 4 bay layout with the original chestnut flooring. The board siding allows the light to dance off the beautiful wood floors. It is a privilege for Mark and Karlen to invite you into their treasured barn and grounds.
