I studied applied flute with a vocal minor at the New England Conservatory of Music Boston Massachusetts on a full scholarship where I studied with James Pappoutsaki of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Also studied with Francis Blaisdell, principal flutist with the New York Metropolitan Opera orchestra at the Manhattan School of Music in NY. I began my journey as a flutist at age ten and by fifteen I was studying with world class flutist and conductor Claude Monteux. At 17 I toured with the NY State Symphony. Other fine flutists of the Golden Age with whom I studied include Jim Walker and Julius Baker.

Cheers the Band is a 9-11 piece band that can perform all genres of music from Sinatra to hip hop, disco to classic rock, oldies and Motown to contemporary party music - music from the 50s to today. A standard 4-piece rhythm section, 2 horns, 3 vocalists up front (2 girls and a guy). All of the instrumentalists can also sing lead. The band has played the Governor's Ball in NJ, a Presidential inaugural, many private parties, weddings, clubs and casinos. Matthew, our male lead, competed on The Voice and The Wendy Williams Show. Kelli, one of our girls, is the only person to have made the finals of American Idol AND America's Got Talent.
