We started this business many years ago with not much more than guts and the desire to build our own destiny. We worked long, hard hours, had second jobs and spent many a sleepless night. I sold the parties, and then we’d go in a rented kitchen and make it happen. Luckily those days are far behind us as we have been very blessed, but some things have never changed. The League maintains and rents the house for events. Your use of 716 West helps to further the mission of the Junior League of DeKalb County. 716 West in downtown Decatur provides southern charm for a full-service formal affair or casual get-together. Autrey Mill Nature Preserve is 46 Acres of forested woodland trails, ravines, gardens and historic buildings. We provide a unique setting for weddings, receptions, anniversary celebrations, and more! The arrangement of our historic buildings forms a small historic village for a charming wedding venue. You can have your ceremony in the old Warsaw Church or under the canopy of the forest on the Amphitheatre and host your reception just a short stroll away in the Summerour House or Pole Barn. Rental fees are used for the continuing preservation of Autrey Mill’s natural environment and history, to provide educational programming, and to operate the preserve.

We provide simple, affordable , stress-free weddings and marriage services for everyone. Courthouse closed? No problem! We are available seven days a week by appointment. Our marriage officiants and Ministers can perform your wedding at a moments notice. Georgia Marriage License and Photo ID required. All Marriage Licenses accepted from Gwinnett, Fulton, Dekalb, Henry and All Georgia County Probate Courts. LBGT clients are welcomed. Use our Minister or bring your own to perform the ceremony and file the required marriage papers with the state of Georgia.

Our venue features amenities found nowhere else including the pre-civil war grist mill, open air pavilion overlooking the creek side ceremony area, a large cottage house dedicated to our couples to get ready in.
