“The in house team is incredible - Kasie, Kaitlin and Sarah were responsive to every question we had, providing recommendations and offering up any help needed to bring our vision to life. I love that they went above and beyond and sourced local whiskey for our specialty cocktail! Their enormous storage closet of wedding decor saved us a lot of money too. Everything will go smoothly with the Armory team at the helm - they have running events down to a science. The entire space is so beautiful that you do not need to spend on decor - it is industrial but still warm and inviting. The lighting is perfect, the sound system is flawless, and their pulley system of curtains makes for a seamless and beautiful transition between ceremony to cocktail hour to reception. The lofted getting ready suite is enormous which was a huge plus: we are an LGBT couple so we had 2 brides and 20 other people eating brunch and getting ready together and we all fit. I am an event planner as my day job so I have high standards and a *lot* of opinions when it comes to events, and there's not a single thing I would have changed or done differently!”

“I found Sophisticated Palate while searching for catering for my wedding on 9/7/26. I was impressed by the professionalism and responsiveness of Chef Sasha to my emails. There were so many options to choose from, and they all sounded delicious! For my wedding, I had fresh fruit, cheese & cracker platter, glazed meatball skewers, and jerk chicken plantain cups for the cocktail hour. My husband and I were determined to especially eat the jerk chicken plantain cups after photos. Luckily, Chef Sasha made sure there was some of each hors d’oeuvre waiting for us. Wow! Everything was flavorful and impressive! The fruit was a wide array of grapes, pineapple, kiwi, strawberries, etc. The hot hors d’oeuvres were both better than I imagined. There was also a mixed greens salad, which impressed me. No iceberg lettuce here! For dinner, we had garlic and herb roasted chicken, braised beef ribs (which were an upcharge but so worth it), lemon parmesan asparagus, and roasted potatoes. Absolutely delicious as well! Chef Sasha even made plates for my husband and I, so we did not have to stand in the buffet line. After dinner, I mingled with each table (small wedding), and everyone was raving about the food. Some guests were asking for the name of the catering company for potential future use. I was so happy my guests enjoyed the food, too. I hope my photographer got pictures of the buffet because Chef Sasha brought her own decorations to make it more elegant. It was so pretty. At the end, the leftovers were wrapped up and left to the side for us. I requested catering in January, so I had been waiting months for this food, excited to try it. It exceeded my expectations. The professionalism was top-tier, communication was excellent, and the kindest employees serving my guests. Thank you for leaving a lasting impression on me, my husband, and our guests.”

“We were lucky enough to have our wedding at Sylvan Ridge in May 2025. We chose it sight-unseen as it was central for family, absolutely gorgeous in pictures, and easy to work with if it rained. The month-of and day-of coordination from Alyssa was incredible and took a lot of stress off of our plates. Vendor coordination and the timeline was seamless, even with some last-minute changes and a thunderstorm the day of. The farmhouse and cottage were a fantastic place for our family and friends to relax and help out, and had plenty of supplies and enough dishes for our 20ish person rehearsal dinner. We hosted a welcome party and our cocktail hour below the barn; had our ceremony on the lawn behind the barn; and had our ceremony in the barn. Having access to the venue for 72 hours made setup and teardown easy with a small team. The trees were just beginning to bloom, the hiking trails on the property were gorgeous, and the weather worked out perfectly to have our ceremony outside. It is hard for me to imagine how anything about the venue could have been better. If you have the opportunity to have a wedding (or any other event) at Sylvan Ridge, book it!”

“It took me a while to actually sit down and write this review, because I don't think adequate words have been invented yet to describe just how incredible it is to choose Evelína as your wedding photographer. But, we are going to try! Dan and I got engaged in December of 2024 and didn't get married until August 8th, 2026. But we were immediately on the hunt to settle all of the major vendor choices. As soon as we stumbled upon Evelína's portfolio, we stopped looking at every other photographer and called her immediately. “Magnolia was a dream for me and my husband!! I was very discouraged by the venue search and had almost given up when I stumbled across Magnolia. It looked so gorgeous I was afraid the pictures were misleading me. But while the outside doesn’t look like much when you drive up, inside it’s a fairytale world. We were in love from the moment we saw it, and all my guests were stunned. The space felt rustic and secluded—like you’re out in the woods somewhere with the sound of the river all around you. And Magnolia has built up the property with an elegance that makes it even more dreamlike. And I can’t say enough about the venue coordinator, Cheyenne! She literally worked miracles to make it possible for us to have our wedding there. This woman is sharp and incredibly knowledgeable and organized. Her recommendations and tips saved me so much. She’s super honest and upfront about things, and she does her best to take the stress and pressure of the wedding off of you. She also is very caring. Throughout the entire process, she was attentive, and I felt like she cared about me as a person, not just another client. On the day-of, she created space for my husband and I in the bustle and went out of her way to help with whatever we, or the wedding party, needed. It never felt like having a stranger around, and I knew I could trust her to handle any mishap. I highly, highly recommend her wedding planning services even if you don’t end up using the venue itself. Some tips: I personally think Magnolia works better for smaller, more intimate weddings. We had about 60 people, which filled the space nicely, but I have trouble imagining how the max amount of people (120) would fit on the dance floor. I wouldn’t recommend having a lot of vendors and tech either. I think it would clash with the space. We also really enjoyed renting out cabins for our wedding party. The rooms are nice, and it allowed us to soak in the weekend. Another great thing: the property is the perfect size for getting cool photos—small enough to walk but large enough to find lots of lovely locations. Definitely take advantage of that! I highly recommend Magnolia. I don’t know how our wedding could have been more beautiful or peaceful, and I thank all the staff at Magnolia for caring for us.”

“Kelly did a phenomenal job !!!! We had a trial which I went to with just about zero idea what I wanted, and she knocked it out of the park…sent me home looking gorgeous and then followed up the next day to see how everything held up/what needed changed. The day of the wedding, not only did she do my makeup, but she also did my bridesmaid and my flower girl who she’d never met before. All three of us looked probably the best we’ll ever look, lol. I was so busy, I didn’t touch my face up at all and my make up still looked great by the end of the night. Leah did our hair and she also did a GREAT job !! I have curly, frizzy hair and am almost never satisfied when someone else works on it. Not only did it look beautiful, but it stayed in place all night! My flower girl has very silky hair and hers also stayed in! I almost wish I could have another wedding. So I could book them again! Highly, highly impressed with both girls.”
