In the 1950s & 60s, The Bronx was home to an amazing photographer that captured weddings and family events. His name? Warren Meurer aka the “Silverfox” (due to his flowing silver and gray locks). Fast forward to the early 1990s, Warren’s grandson, John Salkowsky, decided to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps and open a wedding photography and video studio. When it came time to name this newly formed company, there was only ONE name it could possibly have – Silverfox Studios.

We are Ready Set Film but you can call us Amanda & Jeff - love birds, adventurers, self-proclaimed foodies, and travel junkies! 2024 officially marks our 15th wedding season; just recently, we filmed our 510th wedding. We are Mark and Courtney, New Jersey based Cinematographers, and now married couple. In the last almost decade we have been a part of many beautiful weddings in NJ, NY, CT, PA, The Berkshires, etc. Our journey as filmmakers started when Mark was asked to capture a few of our friends' weddings. After some time and a BIG push Project 8 was finally created. Project 8 was named after the town Mark was born in the Philippines. Naming our small business Project 8 is special to us because it always reminds us of our humble beginnings.

A dad, a son, a brother and a jack of all trades musician that loves to rock out any chance I get. I grew up in New York City. My inclination towards photography came from classic street photography and photojournalists from all over the world that told their stories through a lens. It made me pick up a camera and start shooting. Now, living in Maryland I shoot all sorts of stories and moments locally, domestically, and abroad. Upon graduating college I begun filming and editing home movies of my family, friends and their children... years later I am still filming home movies, however now I'm filming with a family of my own! Trips to the zoo, the pool and other family gatherings. Oh yea, I also film weddings too! It started as gaming videos uploaded to YouTube, to shooting professional dance films in college, to starting my own Video Production Service.
