She started out by making family cakes, eventually sharing them on social media. Within months a family business turned into a full time business. Cakes by Melissa has created artisinal cakes for the last 15 years. From H.S prom cupcakes, to a shed made for Tanglewood, to large corporate orders, to the most intricately designed wedding cake. It has been her passion for years, and shows in each and every cake or dessert she makes.

From initial contact, to taste testing and solidifying the order- Melissa made it seamless and nothing less than professional and thorough. I was guaranteed a time, place and delivery. “Choosing Cakes by Reba was the best choice of vendor we made for our reception. Our wedding was 11 months ago (apologies on taking so long to write the review), but our families are still talking about the cake and desserts we had at our reception! Reba was wonderful to work with, offered great suggestions as we were trying to decide cake flavors, and offered the best expertise. In addition to the wedding cake, we ordered specialty cupcakes and cheesecake bites. The groom's father passed away before the wedding, so adding toffee crumbles (his favorite sweet) to the top of the cheesecake bites was a personal touch that the guests absolutely loved.
