My love for flowers runs deep and true. I grew up ‘helping’ in my mom’s, grandfather’s and great-grandfather’s gardens, learning how to grow flowers, and more importantly, how to pick and arrange them. This is where the name Gather comes from – I’ve always been good at what my family broadly terms “hunting and gathering.” I was the kid who couldn’t ever pull myself out of the blackberry patch where I wanted to pick just one more berry, or away from the beach where I spent hours collecting the tiniest, wave-polished pebbles which I called jewels.

“I was so sure I wanted fresh flowers...until I saw Yellow Firefly’s work in person. I had a hard time wrapping my head around faux florals at first because I assumed they’d look stiff or plasticky. But Jo completely changed my mind. These weren’t just florals, they were works of art. Luxe, full, intentional, and absolutely stunning. The florals were actually the first thing our guests asked about. Multiple people said, “Wait… these aren’t real?!” One friend guessed we spent 30,000 on flowers. My aunt and uncle—who recently helped plan a wedding for their daughter were convinced it was a 60,000 floral budget. We didn’t even come close to that, and we didn’t have to sacrifice anything. The flowers somehow ended up setting the tone for my entire wedding and cultivated such beauty for me and my guests. First Natalie and Jules created a vision board that somehow captured a vision I didn't even know I had, and then they brought that vision to life (beyond my wildest dreams!) Natalie's installation was the most beautiful thing that I have ever seen in my entire life. I actually cried the next day when she took it down. I felt like I was getting married in some sort of magical fairyland - it looked so alive and like it was growing out of the ground. We wanted every single one of our guests to walk under it as they took their seats and the ooohs and ahhhs could be heard from across the property. I have truly never seen anything like it before. For my reception I wore a flower crown that was designed and handmade by Jules. The crown made me felt like an actual princess. I love how it came across in the photos and how it matched the rest of the flower vision - and somehow matched my joy and love. The bouquets were stunning. The boutonnieres were simple and strong. The tables were magical. The amount of time and love they put into growing and sculpting (yes sculpting) their flower creations was so palpable and felt by all of our guests. These women are true artists and are amazing to work with. Their kindness and excitement for me made me feel so seen and supported, and the beauty that they created helped me feel so beautiful on my wedding day. I am tearing up just remembering it. Anyway, I cannot recommend them enough!!!!!”
