“I had my wedding here a couple of weeks ago and it was everything I hoped for! You don’t have to do much in the way of decorating - the gorgeous nature around you does all the heavy lifting. I had guests say it was the best wedding they’d ever been to. The owners Josie and Barrett were so accommodating, warm, and fun. The manager/wedding coordinator Jenna was fantastic. She was with us all weekend which was a lifesaver, helping with last-minute adjustments to the ceremony and reception. My guests felt totally cared for and had an excellent time. Also, the chef was unbelievable. You wouldn’t expect food to be that good in a location so remote. The baker and waitress Bella was so sweet and attentive. My guests were able to fish, take out motor boats and kayaks, and hike. My husband and I went a couple days early to enjoy the island before the wedding guests arrived/ we got too busy, and I would highly recommend that! If you are considering this venue for your wedding, this is your sign to do it!”

Booking 2026-2027. Restoring this massive 80 foot Barn has been a huge, but rewarding, project. While keeping its past integrity, we renovated it into a modern venue fit for luxury events. The Barn sits on 25 acres and can accommodate up to 225 guests. We have a separate ceremony patio, a lawn ceremony option as well as a cocktail hour veranda. Ceremonies can take place on the patio, the grounds or under the trees or almost anywhere couples would like to on the property. We are an a la cart venue, which means we are a blank slate for you to create the wedding of your dreams. We offer ceremony benches a wooden arbor and a good amount of decor and lighting. There are TWO 5 bedroom houses on the property for rent. These houses are perfect for your wedding parties to stay at, get ready at and enjoy your big weekend all together.

The tall purple flowers as a backdrop for the ceremony were breathtaking that day. The wooden bridge over the pond is perfect for photos. We used hanging greenery from the barn rafters, and the flowing white curtains draped from the barn roof added elegance The fairy lights throughout the barn created a touch of magic. We were so impressed by the level of detail and care they put into making our wedding day feel like a dream come true. The venue was the perfect space for our wedding party, with accommodations for our guests to stay and enjoy the day and weekend with all Old Orchard Beach has to offer. A short walk to everything this is the perfect spot!. The owners were more than accommodating, even providing golf cart escorts to continue the festivities down to the pier and anywhere else we wanted to venture. This hidden gem is one you will not regret - we had a great time celebrating our special day at Seashell Cottages and Events! Plenty of room for guests to spread out with comfy sitting areas and relaxing nooks. Fire tables and room for food trucks or anything you can imagine! Between arriving by boat, the ocean views, the historic Bastion, and the feeling of being on a little island together, there was something so special and memorable about the entire experience. The Fortland and Coastal Elegance teams were an absolute dream to work with. Throughout the planning process, everyone was incredibly helpful, responsive, and accommodating. They answered every question we had, joined additional planning meetings with our vendors, and even helped accommodate trips to the island so we could make sure everything would come together the way we envisioned it. On the wedding day itself, I felt completely taken care of. I truly didn’t have to worry about a thing. There was always someone nearby with water, lip gloss, or whatever I needed, and if something went wrong, I never knew about it—it was simply handled. I was able to be completely present and enjoy the day with my husband, family, and friends, which is something I will always be grateful for.
