Nailah Browne, a native of St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, first became interested in baking from her grandmother, who had a side business. Browne later completed the bakery program at Manatee Technical College. Browne and Selene Martinez met and became friends at IMG Academy, where Browne was the head baker and that's how StackD Cake Studio was born. At Stack’d Cake Studio, the customer directs how they want their cake built, from cake and size, to flavor of buttercream, filling and toppings.

Kakes by Kiersten specializes in custom orders of wedding cakes, cupcakes, dessert bars, and more. The team is delighted to take even the most creative orders, creating authentic reflections of couples and their personalities. The bakery also provides other treats, such as desserts for pre-wedding parties, showers, and groom cakes. Couples can avail of delivery and set-up services, taking some of the wedding day organization pressure off their shoulders. I began this journey in 2015, my daughter who was 11 at the time thought it would be fascinating to have us start a bakery because it was something we could do together. Well, it has been quite a roller coaster and I have learned so much in such little time; every day a new lesson. I would not trade the hard lessons, difficult times, the tears, and the insane amount of dishes for anything in this world because I have done it with my daughter’s encouragement and camaraderie always alongside me.
