The Avery Hotel, built in 1851, is situated on the majestic Ebbetts Pass Scenic Highway 4 east of the historic gold-rush town of Murphys. The hotel is perfect for group vacations and family gatherings. The Bear Valley Ski Resort is located just up the road. Calaveras Big Trees State Park is 15 minutes away. Originally called Cold Spring Ranch due to an ice cold spring. The Dorrington Hotel was built in 1852 by John Gardner who married Rebecca Dorrington and moved her out from Scotland. The Grand 1401 offers two beautiful ballrooms. The Grand Ballroom is located on the 1st floor and has a capacity of up to 500 guests and comes with a Mezzanine that oversees the ballroom. The Grand on 10th is located on the 10th floor and has a capacity of up to 300 guests and has access to the veranda that overlooks downtown Fresno. The Grand 1401 is on the official list of the Nation's historic places worthy of preservation. The former SJL&P Building is a highly significant building in Fresno, both as a visual architectural landmark for the City and as an excellent example of the Italian Renaissance Revival style.

A truly one of a kind 5,000 square foot space located above the ground floor, right above our bar Locked Barrel, with both elevator and stair access. The Historic Elks Tower Ballroom can seat 330 guests with use of the small mezzanine, up to 300 guests on the main floor by itself. The North Star House was built during the age of the California Gold Rush as a home and business accommodation for the second largest producing mine in California. It was designed by Julia Morgan, the first licensed female architect in in the State. Her greatest claim to fame is the Hearst Castle. The House features a catering kitchen, lighted courtyard, open grassy areas, wooded views, a veranda overlooking the sunset and plenty of parking.
