The Cellar Venue at Stardust Cellars is the perfect place to host your wedding or special event. Located in Wilkesboro, NC, in the heart of Appalachia, this biodynamic meadery and winery offers a unique experience with some of the finest traditionally crafted meads and wines in the country. With an “Old World European” vibe and mixed natural textures, The Cellar has 12 taps that vary in NC Craft Beers and the SDC brand of custom meads. The property is located on 18.6 acres, including a vineyard, festival grounds, dry camping, a 9-hole disc golf course, a garden, and our main venue building. The Cellar offers budget-friendly package options, plus a friendly staff that can accommodate both traditional and non-traditional events. In the main venue building, your event space consists of over 3,000 sq ft of open space for tables and chairs, a built-in wooden dance floor, a stage, a bar, and more! Big R Orchards - Wedding and Event Venue is located on top of Brushy Mountain in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains near Wilkesboro, NC. Enjoy the beauty and romance of 150 acres of family owned & working apple & peach orchards with a 6 acre lake and golf green peninsula with amazing mountain views. The pavilion was uniquely designed and hand-crafted by friends & neighbors. The elegant bridal suite is spacious with over 1000 sf of space, private bathroom, & hair and makeup stations. There is a full commercial caterer's kitchen, public bathrooms, and grooms suite. The open but covered grand hall is 6000 sf with 2 huge chandeliers, Edison string lights, post lights, and a huge rock fireplace. There are also motorized curtains on the west side that can be closed or opened with a touch of a button. In 1929, Jean-Pierre Auguste Dalmas, a Waldensian immigrant from Villar Pellice, Italy, started construction on the dairy barn on his property in Valdese, NC. After the barn had been completed, work began on the main house. He built a rock veneered masterpiece, large enough to house his 7 children. He cleared a field for a vineyard and until his death in 1972 (at the age of 92), he made wine in the basement of the main house every autumn.

A group of professional caterers and hospitality employees envisioned an event space like no other. A space vast enough to hold large events without compromising the ambiance and charm of a quaint family gathering. A place rich in history with significant ties to our communities. We were lead to an aging, almost forgotten piece of our past. The old Cotton Depot in Clinton SC quietly sat on the edge of downtown. The building spoke to us, 17,000 square feet of handmade brick each telling a story, 11ft ceilings with exposed beams, arched windows and wide planked floors. We immediately began designing the space. Through our catering experience we knew the need for easy access, a good flow and having conveniently located facilities. We also knew the importance of having multifunctioning spaces that can be dressed up or down to make each event uniquely yours.
