This peaceful, 2-acre park is the former site of the historic Gluek Brewery and mansion, combining scenic serenity with a unique story. Ideal for couples seeking a simple, elegant outdoor ceremony, Gluek Park accommodates up to 100 guests and offers flexible rental blocks throughout the day. Please note: ceremonies only—receptions and food are not permitted on-site. Parking fees are separate from the rental permit.

The park was originally named Douglas Triangle for the street on which it is located. The name was officially changed to Mt. Curve Triangles (plural), on November 4, 1925, when the previous Mt. Curve Triangle was renamed Fremont Triangle. The park was officially named in honor of Thomas Lowry in 1984. Lowry is best known for developing the street railway system in Minneapolis. The Lowry Hill neighborhood, in which the park is located, was named because he owned most of the land and built his imposing mansion on the hill.

With its varied perennials and annuals, Longfellow Gardens provides a picturesque backdrop for weddings and other ceremonies. The Phelps, or “Turtle”, Fountain is the centerpiece of the Lyndale Park Annual-Perennial Garden. It was moved here from its former downtown site in Minneapolis’ Gateway Park. The Peace Garden features hardy alpine plants and dwarf conifers and begins blooming in mid-April. The Annual/Perennial peaks in mid-June and the Rose Garden typically begins blooming in mid-June and lasts until early October. Butterflies and hummingbirds can be seen throughout the summer.
