Gluek Park, part of the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board’s stunning portfolio of wedding ceremony locations, offers an intimate riverside setting with views of the Mississippi River and the Minneapolis skyline. This peaceful, 2-acre park is the former site of the historic Gluek Brewery and mansion, combining scenic serenity with a unique story. Ideal for couples seeking a simple, elegant outdoor ceremony, Gluek Park accommodates up to 100 guests and offers flexible rental blocks throughout the day. Please note: ceremonies only—receptions and food are not permitted on-site. Parking fees are separate from the rental permit.

The Minneapolis Sculpture Garden is better than ever! This crown jewel of the city’s park system unites two of Minnesota’s most cherished resources—its parks and its cultural life. The park was originally named Douglas Triangle for the street on which it is located. The name was officially changed to Mt. Curve Triangles (plural), on November 4, 1925, when the previous Mt. Curve Triangle was renamed Fremont Triangle. The park was officially named in honor of Thomas Lowry in 1984. Lowry is best known for developing the street railway system in Minneapolis. The Lowry Hill neighborhood, in which the park is located, was named because he owned most of the land and built his imposing mansion on the hill.

With its varied perennials and annuals, Longfellow Gardens provides a picturesque backdrop for weddings and other ceremonies. The formal garden, featuring a pergola, graces the top of the land bridge, providing a stunning view of the downtown skyline. A gentle slope of prairie flowers and grasses provides a transition between the ”wild” creek’s edge and the land bridge’s sedated beauty. The Phelps, or “Turtle”, Fountain is the centerpiece of the Lyndale Park Annual-Perennial Garden. It was moved here from its former downtown site in Minneapolis’ Gateway Park. The combination of fountain and flowers, contained by an undulating hedge, makes this a popular spot for garden enthusiasts, wedding ceremonies and photographs. The Heffelfinger Fountain, located within the Lyndale Park Rose Garden, is a central focal point offering an unforgettable backdrop to any event. The Peace Garden features hardy alpine plants and dwarf conifers and begins blooming in mid-April. The Annual/Perennial peaks in mid-June and the Rose Garden typically begins blooming in mid-June and lasts until early October. Butterflies and hummingbirds can be seen throughout the summer. The Monticello Community Center has a room or space for any need! Whether you're looking for a small, informal ceremony in one of our beautiful parks along the Mississippi River or a large gathering in the elegant Mississippi Room, we can make your vision a reality. Our Mississippi Room offers a seated room capacity for up to 300 guests. We take care of all your decorating needs using your decor, including audio-visual equipment, plus you’ll have exclusive use of the adjacent outdoor patio. Our premier parks are popular venues for wedding ceremonies due to the natural beauty of the Mississippi River. We also have a smaller, more intimate venue along Otter Creek with beautiful gardens and natural surroundings. The park venues are available May through October and beautiful blooming plants and flowers vary with each visit. We have a variety of rental room sizes available! In addition to your wedding, you can host smaller gatherings like your bridal shower at the MCC as well!
