The Campus Club at the University of Minnesota is a ballroom venue for couples’ weddings in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area. This historic, city venue is a private location for couples to host their weddings, with floor-to-ceiling views of the surrounding city from high above it. There is also a rooftop ceremony location. Couples will find this venue on the University of Minnesota’s campus, just a 10-minute drive from the Stone Arch Bridge up the river.

  • Bridal suite on site

Venue considerations

  • Not for you if you are drawn to more unconventional venues
  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • Best for events with big guest lists
We were so pleased that we selected Campus Club for our October 2019 wedding. From the first email inquiry we sent to the Campus Club, we were impressed with the diligence, competence, and experience of the staff. The space worked well for us and our guests. There is plenty of space for everyone to spread out - the terrace, the dining room, the lounge area, and the bar. We had a variety to guests from kids to my 90 year old grandparents and everyone was comfortable. The views are stunning from every single one of the spaces! We had hoped that our ceremony would be on the terrace but it was unseasonably cold (and snowing) on our wedding day so we ended up having it indoors. We were initially disappointed but it worked out great to have guests sit at the dining tables and was really pretty. The space is nicely finished and requires very little decor to look pretty for a wedding - we only did centerpieces and cafe lighting and it looked great! This saved us a bunch of money too. The food was excellent and all of our guests’ dietary limitations were accommodated. Leading up to our wedding, we worked mostly with Jenn who is very organized and responsive and takes care of all the details we hadn’t thought of. She responded to every one of our (million) questions right away. On the day of our wedding, the managers and staff made everything run absolutely perfectly. These people really know what they’re doing. We couldn’t be happier about our wedding day. Thanks Campus Club! Even 5 years later, I'd choose Campus Club again and again. 5/5!

Quincy Hall was an incredible venue for our wedding! We had around 200 guests for our September wedding and it felt simultaneously spacious and cozy. The QH team was very responsive and helped with planning every step of the way. They were also super accommodating and helped fine ways for us to meet out budget while still getting the experience we were looking for. The venue and surrounding area had a number of spots for stunning, industrial vibe photos and we couldn't be happier with the look and feel for our day. Our food was also outstanding. We knew the food at Crave would be delicious, but we received so many compliments from guests about their meals. They have some of the most reasonable prices on the market and the catering staff were super professional and polished. Overall, we had a great experience and would highly recommend Quincy Hall!

The Machine Shop was the only venue my wife and I looked at for our wedding. We have performed as string quartet musicians at a plethora of venues in the Twin Cities and beyond, and this was the first and only venue where as a vendor I looked at it and thought: "I could get married here." The biggest draws were: amazing indoor location, unique space, easy to find parking, close to home, and option for both ceremony and reception to be in the same space. Communication with the venue staff was quick, fast, and easy to understand our options. The select caterers and onsite only liquor selections were excellent and had a wide variety of tastes and options. We went with Brasa and 2 hosted signature cocktails during cocktail hour - the food and drink were such a hit and people could not stop saying how great Brasa was and the cocktails! We had so much fun on our wedding night and everything came together so well. We worked with Lauren from Machine Shop and she was amazing, we got to meet with her for a wine tasting with our families and she answered all of our many questions as well as helped us figure out our drink preferences. So many of our friends and family commented on how this was one of the most fun wedding venues they had been to and we couldn't agree more!

413 on Wacouta is such an amazing venue and it was perfect for our wedding! The building has so much character we really didn’t need to do a ton of extra decorating and just let the spaces shine. It has a very Beauty and the Beast, speakeasy vibe which made for a beautiful and romantic setting. We had a little over 100 people which I felt fit the space well. Victoria is so much fun and was really wonderful to work with also! She sent photos and videos she had taken throughout the day and was such an asset in ensuring our day was special and ran smoothly. 10/10 I highly recommend if you are looking for an intimate, romantic downtown setting with a ton of charm!

We couldn’t have asked for a better venue than Union Depot for our wedding. The venue manager was clear, communicative, and flexible throughout the planning process. She helped us with deadlines, floor plan adjustments, parking validations, access to getting-ready spaces, and being on-site the day of to support with our wedding coordinator. We also appreciated how affordable the venue and getting ready spaces cost for our budget. The venue itself was beautiful, and it was a relief to do a final walkthrough and drop off decorations the day before the event. The Waiting Room setup with digital signage, pipe and drape made it easy for guests to know where to go, and Union Depot offered stunning indoor and outdoor photo options, which was especially important given the unpredictability of the weather conditions. We can’t wait to visit Union Depot in the future to hop on the train/bus and reminisce on our wedding day there.

I recently had my wedding at North Garden Theater and could not have been happier. This was such a gem to find. Ryan and Tina were amazing to work with, so responsive and helpful. You can tell they really care about making sure your event goes perfectly. Tables, chairs and linens came with the rental, which most places do not do. We got to customize the lighting, the dance party lighting (which is extensive with fog machine!), and the entire layout. They have a bar onsite and the cocktails were great! They were able to serve our guests very quickly. We used multiple Spotify playlists for our music and Ryan was on point switching between them at the right times. The facilities were amazing too; large dressing room to get ready, and nice big bathrooms that they continually cleaned throughout the night. They are also big on reducing waste so we were able to use all compostable cups, which we also had our caterer use all compostable plates and silverware. I really do not have enough great things to say about Ryan, Tina and NGT; they made such a magical day for us!!!

The food is incredible, and the chefs were so attentive to dietary needs—during our tasting they sat down with us, and the head chef even came out during the reception to make sure everything was perfect. The entire team puts their best foot forward. The value of the service, food, beverages, and overall experience is absolutely worth the cost, and compared to other venues, it’s not overpriced in my opinion. We had an Amazing Wedding 10/15/2022 at Windows on Minnesota! Started the day with a get ready room prepared by the hotel and added on breakfast for the wedding party on the 3rd floor which was so spacious and made PERFECT get ready photos! Groomsmen used a suite to get ready in and we loved having our own spaces to keep the morning calm and special for all of us. Our ceremony was off site, but used Stars for a cocktail space for our 206 guests which had perfect views and LOVE the passed mushroom arancini appetizer!! My only recommendation is adding an extra bar (3rd bar for us) so the lines are not long for your guests. Our reception was in Galaxy and the plated dinner options were truly amazing, we chose Beef short ribs, asiago chicken, pesto salmon (thank you Chef Evan and Chef Mike for customizing) and the mushroom risotto! I continue to hear from our guests that each dinner option and pear salad was so good! Special shout our to Angel in Engineering for helping us with a special request! The banquet staff Michael, Diane, Melissa, Grace, Ricarda, Randy, Mohamud and Milton were so kind and accommodating to our guests. We brought in Sammy's Sweet Cupcakes which avoided the 5 per person cake cutting fee and loved each flavor. Sydney, Sarah and Scott were awesome with all our details and set ups along with communicating and updates that occurred. My husband and I were very chill and very organized during the planning process as I know the Sales team juggle so many events at Windows. It was the best day ever and thank the events team for making so many details come to life and allowing us to be carefree and enjoy our day! -Nate and Kat P.s. Our Vendors were AMAZING too!!
