I have nothing but the best things to say about Boston & Burke Floral Design. Monika was wonderful to work with from start to finish. After just one conversation, she put together a vision board that captured everything so perfectly, I immediately got excited and knew she was going to do an amazing job for our wedding. She was extremely patient throughout the whole process, from helping me choose between different styles of arrangements, to explaining different varieties of individual flowers and options that worked in our jewel-toned palette. She maintained her professional and friendly demeanor even through multiple revisions of our estimate/contract and last-minute changes. She let me know when the flowers were ordered and when they came in and how they looked, always seeming to share the excitement with me. The day of our wedding, she accommodated a last-minute schedule adjustment to deal with the weather without question. When the flowers arrived, I almost started to cry! I was blown away by how stunningly vibrant the colors were, how gorgeous and perfect each arrangement was including my bridal bouquet. To say my expectations were exceeded is a gross understatement. Every single guest and vendor made at least one comment over the weekend – stating how they’d never seen such beautiful flowers, or that they were simply unbelievable – and I couldn’t agree more! I have no doubt that Boston and Burke can transform any wedding into a magical event and strongly recommend them for your big day!

    Blee's Floral Design

    5.0

    Crown Point, NY
    • Starts at $75 per arrangement

After beginning a career in the home interiors industry in NYC, I found myself longing for a creative outlet! I began taking a few floral design courses to keep myself sane and fell in love! After 7 years in the city, I decided it was time for a break and moved back upstate to the Adirondacks. Here I began working at my family's business, Tromblee's Greenhouse, furthering my love for flowers. As customers began to ask for floral arrangements an organic business outlet was created. Blee's is a nod to the business that grew my love for flowers, my connection to a community, and a family that welcomed me.

We met Megan at a wedding styled shoot and fell completely in love with her floral work. I reached out to her for our actual wedding and she brought our vision to life! She was very professional, creative, and easy to work with, as well as a great communicator. She and a colleague arrived promptly on our big day and really transported us to a tropical getaway with the table decor, floral arch, and my bouquet. We highly recommend working with Blee's!

It’s hard to even put into words how incredibly beautiful Nicole made my wedding. I know how talented she is, but the floral arrangements and the entire set up blew my expectations! Every single person at the wedding told me how much they loved the bouquets and all of the flower arrangements! It was the conversation of the evening! Leaving the venue I was selfishly hoping no one would want to take the table arrangements and I’d be able to keep them all and fill my apartment with them to live in flower heaven, and EVERYONE was asking if they could take one home!!!! (I let them, but it was a tough decision). Nicole was so thorough and really made me feel so confident throughout the process. While wedding planning there’s so many little details to think about and worry about and anything that had to do with flowers I didn’t worry about one bit. She is so on top of everything I don’t know how she does it! Superwoman!!!! There is no one else I would ever even consider to use as a florist for the rest of my life. Nicole thank you again so so so much, absolutely everything was perfect.

      Something Borrowed Blooms

      4.8

      Lafayette, LA
      • Starts at $250
      • Serves Queensbury, NY

Thousands of brides across the United States and Canada have trusted Something Borrowed Blooms to provide the perfect flowers for their wedding day. We offer brides the expensive peonies, delicate ranunculus, out-of-season anemones, and the ever-impossible-to-find-magnolia — all at a fraction of the cost.

Truthfully, I don’t believe I ever inquired with a local florist for our wedding because I already had an idea from other brides (and from order minimums listed online), and I knew I didn’t want to allocate a significant budget to decor, but I also wanted a gorgeous and elegant wedding, which certainly includes florals. I started looking into faux floral options and came across SBB. Once I found this company, I never looked back. We ordered a sample box and also visited a bridal shop in CT that carried some of their pieces to see them in person. We originally selected the Wren collection, but then last year they launched the Eloise collection, which we immediately switched to. The florals were absolutely stunning, and even our friends who knew they were fake, were shocked and confused when they saw them because they thought they were real! The rental process was a breeze. We ended up having the order shipped straight to Owl’s Nest so that we didn’t have to transport it up ourselves. The boxes are labeled so you know exactly what is in each box, and how to pack it back up to ship back. There is also an option to buy some of the pieces and keep them as well if you wanted to keep something for sentimentality. They have a Facebook group (SBB Insiders) where other brides share their photos and any creative ways they used their rentals, which was also so helpful to see the real photos! The company itself also releases how-to videos for various arrangements, and you can even schedule live styling sessions to work one on one virtually to see the pieces and how they would work for you. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone and everyone!! I’d also love to use it again in the future for other events!

      The Faux Bouquets

      5.0

      Redlands, CA
      • Starts at $175
      • Serves Queensbury, NY

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

      Awarded Best of Zola
I chose to do the artificial floral rentals using the lovely lush package and picked the garden vibrance suite. I also added on some other items like the micro floral spray and the mini toss. These items really helped round out my reception. Using the rentals was perfect for me as I knew I simply did not want to have to put in a ton of time assembling floral arrangements and I didn’t have to worry about keeping them/giving them away. They also reached out to see more what I wanted in my keepsake bouquet and boutonnière where I was able to personalize and add succulents! After the ceremony and reception, I received many compliments on how well done the flowers were.

      • Starts at $6,000
      • Serves Queensbury, NY

A Lily Among Thorns is a floral design studio in Northern New Jersey. Isabel’s love for flowers stemmed from a young age, as she was often found picking wild flowers barefoot. After receiving her bachelor's degree in English Language Arts, her second love, she found that there was even more poetry to be found in the flowers she had always loved. Now, she works in wedding and event floral design with a limited amount of couples a year.

      Awarded Best of Zola
Isabel was absolutely incredible to work with. She listened intently to every single one of our notes and wishes, was so responsive and communicative, professionalism couldn’t be beat and so incredibly talented. When the day came, I was shocked at her and her teams execution. She took note of every tiny thing I said and incorporated it perfectly. She made the wedding planning process so enjoyable and seamless. I couldn’t recommend our experience working with her more. Our venue at the Prospect Park Boathouse had a very tight install window and they executed fabulously. If you want unmatched professionalism and stunning design go with A Lily Among Thorns.

For the price of the amount of bud vases I wanted through our florist, I got TRIPLE the amount by using Bloom Culture. They shipped in a nicely packaged box the week of our wedding and I had a team of friends and family to help assemble. She sends instructional videos and guides and it was so easy and saved me HUNDREDS AND HUNDREDS of dollars. Elegant Floral Creations by Amy went above and beyond for both my daughters Bridal Shower and Wedding. For the Shower we were not sure what we wanted but we told Amy the theme and she wowed us all. The flowers and the colors were all beautiful and went perfect with our theme. Our guest are still talking about how beautiful all the decorations were and how the flowers brought everything together. For the wedding, my daughter knew exactly what she wanted and when I tell you Amy more then delivered I am not exaggerating. The floral bouquets and boutonnieres were stunning and when we walked into the venue the floral arrangements and swags and floral details with the candles took our breath away. The Venue was beautiful but the flowers made everything even more beautiful and elegant! The florals and candles really set the tone and the mood. The attention to detail was phenomenal! The photographer was even excited about all the details in which she made sure to capture in the photos. We will be using Elegant Floral Creations by Amy for all our future floral needs! I highly recommend Amy, she is easy to talk to, she answered every question quickly and gave us suggestions for some things we were not sure of and she was on time and the venue staff really liked working with her and her team as well.

      Fairy Meadow Flowers

      5.0

      Hamden, CT
      • Starts at $4,500
      • Serves Queensbury, NY

My name is Isabelle, and I grow chemical free, regenerative flowers and herbs on 3/4 of an acre in Hamden, CT. I truly love working on these blooms from start to finish, and I hope to get to share some of the beauty with you on your special day.

      Awarded Best of Zola
My husband Kevin and I got married in Simsbury, CT on 10/15/22 and had the most perfect day imaginable. This was in large part thanks to Isabelle and Unison. When we first started planning our wedding, we sought out to find as many LGBTQ vendors as possible, so finding Fairy Meadow (based out of our beloved neighborhood, at the time) was a true dream come true. I can't begin to express how easy the whole process was, from start to finish. When we first spoke over the phone, we shared our budget, a bare bones vision for our florals (dahlias, dahlias, and more dahlias!!!) and Isabelle took it from there. What we were greeted with upon entering the tent on our big day, was truly picture perfect. THE COLORS. The florals that Isabelle grows in her own backyard are truly mind boggling. Our guests are STILL commenting on how beautiful they are--especially because we sent a sample off to have professionally pressed (through a recommendation utilized directly from Isabelle). If you are looking for a local team who is passionate about growing sustainably and prioritizes communication, collaboration, and remembers what this business is all about, truly look no further. We truly can't recommend Isabelle and Unison enough. It was a dream to work with them, and I wish we could do it over and over again :)
