Blue Dahlia Wooden Florals, LLC

5.0

Biddeford, ME

My business started when I was planning my own wedding. I love flowers, but we couldn't justify spending hundreds or thousands on real flowers to throw them away in a week when we also found out we were expecting our first child at the same time. In came wood flowers! After much practice, I discovered I have an eye for colors and floral design and now 4 years and MANY weddings and THOUSANDS of home decor pieces later, this is not only my passion but it is also my full time business. No side hustle here! You will have my undivided attention. I'll make sure your floral dreams come to life in wood and the best part, they LAST FOREVER!

My name is Zofia, and I live in North Hampton, NH with my Husband, two small sons, our Cocker Spaniel named Ava, and a whole bunch of chickens and ducks. I am really looking forward to your special day!

      Awarded Best of Zola
I absolutely loved working with Zofia. She is very quick to respond and is willing to work with you on your budget. After our first consultation on the phone, she even offered to call the venue for me to ask about the mantle decor before I even paid my deposit. We had to change our table layout a couple times, and Zofia assured me not to worry she will take care of everything. The day of the wedding the venue turned out beautiful and exactly how I envisioned. A lot of my guest complimented how much they loved the floral arrangement. It was classic, simple, and beautiful. I would recommend Zofia she is amazing and will make your floral vision come to life.

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

        5.0

        Oklahoma City, OK
        • Serves Portsmouth, NH

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

        Awarded Best of Zola
I was hesitant at first to order flowers online, but a family friend recommended it. Most of the flowers were perfect when they arrived. There was some wilt on the baby eucalyptus, but after speaking to Natalie at Flower Moxie and sending her pictures, she was able to talk to a local vendor and ship replacements over night! It was a great experience and I highly recommend!

        Something Borrowed Blooms

        4.8

        Lafayette, LA
        • Starts at $250
        • Serves Portsmouth, NH

Thousands of brides across the United States and Canada have trusted Something Borrowed Blooms to provide the perfect flowers for their wedding day. We offer brides the expensive peonies, delicate ranunculus, out-of-season anemones, and the ever-impossible-to-find-magnolia — all at a fraction of the cost.

Truthfully, I don’t believe I ever inquired with a local florist for our wedding because I already had an idea from other brides (and from order minimums listed online), and I knew I didn’t want to allocate a significant budget to decor, but I also wanted a gorgeous and elegant wedding, which certainly includes florals. I started looking into faux floral options and came across SBB. Once I found this company, I never looked back. We ordered a sample box and also visited a bridal shop in CT that carried some of their pieces to see them in person. We originally selected the Wren collection, but then last year they launched the Eloise collection, which we immediately switched to. The florals were absolutely stunning, and even our friends who knew they were fake, were shocked and confused when they saw them because they thought they were real! The rental process was a breeze. We ended up having the order shipped straight to Owl’s Nest so that we didn’t have to transport it up ourselves. The boxes are labeled so you know exactly what is in each box, and how to pack it back up to ship back. There is also an option to buy some of the pieces and keep them as well if you wanted to keep something for sentimentality. They have a Facebook group (SBB Insiders) where other brides share their photos and any creative ways they used their rentals, which was also so helpful to see the real photos! The company itself also releases how-to videos for various arrangements, and you can even schedule live styling sessions to work one on one virtually to see the pieces and how they would work for you. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone and everyone!! I’d also love to use it again in the future for other events!

Jen was so great to work with for my wedding. She made the whole process so simple and seamless. She got my bouquets to me in plenty of time ahead of my wedding, making that one less thing on my plate for all the little details in the last couple weeks before the wedding. I was able to mail her swatches of my bridesmaid dress color, and she dyed the flowers perfectly and they looked so good the day of. I would recommend Jen 100 times over!

        Little Blooms

        5.0

        Nashua, NH
        • Starts at $4,000
        • Serves Portsmouth, NH

I started my business in 2018, after I finished floral design classes from Cass School of Floral in Watertown, MA. I have had hands on experience from Floral Arts in Westford, MA and have completed over 15 weddings in my time as a floral designer. I have a little intern named Larry, a corgi-pit mix, who is the model for Little Blooms, who you will see a lot of on Instagram. I love using locally grown flowers as much as I can in my work, to really showcase 'farm to florist'.

        Awarded Best of Zola
I cannot recommend Danielle of Little Blooms enough! The entire process of working with her - from initial outreach to day of delivery - was smooth and seamless. She was able to interpret my vision perfectly, and when I saw the flowers she arraigned and prepared for our church, our venue and my bridal boutique and boutonnieres I was in awe. The flowers themselves were gorgeous, but the arrangements she created elevated their beauty to make something truly memorable. Additionally, she was able to work around my budget and even make last minute updates to our contract given changes at our venue - for which, I will be forever grateful. I look forward to the opportunity to work with Danielle and Little Blooms again, as I know I’ll again be impressed with her craftsmanship and skill but also with her grace under pressure, humor and passion for her business.

Tess was great to work with throughout the entire process. She was very quick to respond to all of my questions and easy to book. The proposal she put together did a great job of setting expectations and I really appreciated the thoroughness of it as well. The day of the flowers came out EVEN PRETTIER than I could have expected. She went above and beyond in the attention to detail and flower selections. We received SO many compliments on the flowers and I'll never get over them. If you are hesitant about booking, DON'T BE! Tess is such a sweet person to work with and her work product speaks for itself. I would highly recommend Tess.

We worked with Bloom Culture for our wedding and the process was easy and fun! Alison created beautiful flower recipes that were exactly what I pictured. The tutorial videos make the assembly process easy to follow and it was a lot of fun customizing the bouquets to my liking while using the flower formulas as a guide. The flowers were delivered in great condition and the flower guide helps you organize everything to make assembly easy. Semper Virens Flowers

        5.0

        North Chelmsford, MA
        • Starts at $3,500
        • Serves Portsmouth, NH

Designer Mary B. Hayes of Semper Virens Flowers creates spirited, nature-inspired florals for weddings and elopements. We use seasonal and locally-grown flowers and foliage to create bespoke florals for you. Our flowers will truly bring more beauty and joy to your event! We also offer workshops, including floral crowns and flower bars, which are perfect for a bridal shower or reception activity. (Weddings limited to less than 125 guests. )

I was married in 2020 and had a delayed reception a year later to celebrate with loved ones. Semper Virens Flowers did the flowers for our reception, and she did an amazing job making that day as special as the day we were married! There was such detail in every flower arrangement to pull in the themes from our wedding, but they were also unique for the occasion. For our sweetheart table, our arrangement even incorporated delicate hops in honor of my husband’s love of a good beer! Would definitely love to work with Semper Virens again for a future event!
