Woodland Floral Design Co.

5.0

Biglerville, PA

Proud Cat & Dog Mom // Your New Wedding Vendor BFF It’s never been just about pretty flowers to me. I started out in social work because I wanted to serve and connect with others. I first entered the floral design world as an intern in 2016 and noticed a lack of originality in designs and a need for more connection between the florist and the couple. When I started WFD in 2019, I decided to prioritize both artistic designs and building long-term relationships with each couple. Planning my own wedding in 2021 gave me an even deeper appreciation for the importance of receiving creative expertise and genuine support from wedding vendors.

From the moment I had my first call with Misha, I knew that I wanted her to be our florist for our wedding. She is so sweet and easy to talk to, you can tell right away that she has so much passion for what she does. I really did not know exactly what I wanted as far as florals go, but I knew I wanted something unique and beautiful to go with our garden theme wedding. Misha was super responsive with all of my questions and gave advice when I was lost in the process. She took all of the thoughts and ideas that I threw her way and turned it into something better than we could have ever imagined! I really was in awe when I saw the reception room for the first time. My bouquet was absolutely perfect and all of the bridesmaids loved theirs as well! Thank you so much Misha for creating such a beautiful and unique look for our wedding! If you are considering going with Misha as your wedding florist, do it! You will be so happy you did :)

    Pam's Petals

    5.0

    Lititz, PA

I grew up running around after my mom in her gardens and spent most of high school in the art department. I went off to design school and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design. Soon after, I started my first “real” design job and have been working in the industry in either commercial or residential design ever since, giving me thirty-five years of design experience. A second related career in Floral Design was added to my skill set when I was employed as a part-time floral designer and trained at Longwood Gardens. I decorated twenty-one Christmas trees that year and did a lot of beautiful custom designs.

I had the pleasure of meeting, and working with, Pam from Pam's Petals. Pam displayed the absolute most beautiful flowers I have ever seen on my wedding day this past month in October. Now, I am not really a flower person, but, after speaking with Pam on the phone for the first time, she truly helped me envision my wedding day. I got married in PA, but live out of state, so I thought finding the right florist would be challenging. Luckily, I had an amazing wedding planner who highly recommend Pam's Petals, and I am glad that she had. Pam went above and beyond, starting with day one. Our compiled communication between phone calls, text and emails, lead us to a beautiful and successful wedding day (with flowers). As I mentioned, she truly found the best ways to help me visualize what flowers would look best (for the theme of wedding and season), what the flowers would look like, and where they would be placed. Along the way, there were a few changes I had requested, and questions I had (as I am not well educated on wedding flowers), Pam was nothing short of helpful, and amazing. Fast forward to wedding day, a rainy day might I add, Pam was not only on time, but extremely prompt with how the flowers would be best arranged (as I preferred her to make a lot of the decisions). Pam also made sure the flowers were protected from the weather changes. Overall, I would highly recommend Pam's Petals as she heard what I had to say along the way (even if I had no idea what to do with flowers), but she read my mind with ease. Thank you so so much Pam for turning my wedding to life!

      Terra Florals

      Spring Grove, PA
      • Starts at $2,000

Loni and the team at Terra Florals provide brides with the best flowers in the mid-Atlantic. When folks who know Loni think of flowers... they think of her. She and her husband are the founders of Terra Florals, the region's premier cut flower farm. Folks come from across the country to visit the farm's huge cut flowers fields and stay at the on-farm bed and breakfast. With legendary design skills and a massive following, Loni leads design classes, coaches local growers and provides flowers for many of the area's florists and designers. Even if her calendar is too full to build your dream wedding florals... be sure to demand her flowers.

Terra Florals embodies everything you could ever want in a florist: deep knowledge of the craft, a problem-solving mindset, and absolutely stunning blooms. Loni was extremely helpful in teasing out the floral vision for my wedding at our consultation, and her team quickly and efficiently adapted to any challenges on the day-of for setup. The florals at my wedding were a dream and tied together the already beautiful outdoor venue with our personal design elements. I know I will keep all my dried blooms and reminisce on the photos for years and years to come

      Splints & Daisies

      5.0

      Mountville, PA
      • Starts at $4,000

Tara has been a long time flower lover and plant geek. Growing up she was a rambunctious toddler and decided to get a head start in the horticulture industry by eating her mothers house plants. This mostly resulted in the poison control center being called repeatedly, but also instilled in her the love of all things "green and growing". She has had her hands in the dirt and been playing with flowers her whole life. With an art background in her family, florals became her artistic expression.

i knew i wanted splints & daisies to be the florist for my wedding before i was even engaged. they are so incredible that i didn't need to give them much direction for what i wanted. i had high hopes for my wedding flowers (my husband would tell you i was more excited for our florals than the actual wedding itself) but splints & daisies exceeded my expectations. if you'd like to cry about your flowers on your wedding day, i cannot recommend splints & daisies enough.

Sarcasm & Sunshine Designs Flower Preservation

      5.0

      Harrisburg, PA
      • Starts at $250

Sarcasm & Sunshine Designs is comprised of two friends, turned business partners. We worked together for several years planning events and weddings, so we have a shared love of sparkle, flowers, coffee, and making beautiful memories! We couldn't think of a better way to celebrate our growth as friends, mothers and confidants, than to combine our creativity and passions to create one of a kind items to brighten the days and lives of others. Our business, our products, and our partnership is all about balance, Contessa is the Sarcasm, Danielle is the Sunshine. Some days, we switch roles, but we think life is better with both!

Having my wedding flowers preserved was extremely important to me. To be able to keep something perfectly preserved that was so beautiful on my special day is unreal. Danielle is the kindest and easiest person to work with. She gets back to you within seconds and listens to any and every crazy request I had. Along with a tray, wine stopper, ornament, and book mark, Danielle was able to take part of my Mother’s wedding dress (that was wrapped around my bouquet) and preserve it in a jewelry box with my flowers. Let me tell you, the reaction my mom had on her face when I gave her that jewelry box was indescribable. If you are ever second guessing preserving your wedding flowers, this is your sign to do it. You won’t regret it! Sarcasm and Sunshine’s work is impeccable and I hope that others are able to have their flowers preserved with such care and precision as I was able to have mine.

We absolutely loved working with Carol! She took our color palette and ran with it. Our gazebo arrangement stayed fresh and beautiful despite. 90 degree day. She was attentive through the whole planning process and day of wedding. The night before the wedding, she offered to make an additional piece for our memory table and fill the bridesmaid bouquets more! You can tell that Carol loves what she does and we couldn’t have been more happy with our fall arrangements! We also love that she grows her own florals on site and only orders what she can’t grow. Definitely go local and book Carol for your wedding. You won’t be disappointed!

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

As my fiancé and I started the wedding planning process, we joked that our loose theme would be “flowers and love.” We knew we wanted lots of beautiful, lush florals as the primary decor focus, and also knew we didn’t want to spend the many thousands of dollars to achieve that look with a standard florist. If you’re in the same boat, and have an appetite for some DIYing, I’d STRONGLY recommend working with Bloom Culture. After some Googling for DIY wedding florals, I came across Bloom Culture and spoke with Allison for a custom consultation. During the call, Allison helped me express the type of floral look we were going for, and built out a custom floral package that would achieve it. She also laid out the delivery and prep process, and we landed on a final package and timeline for delivery. We received a LARGE box of flowers the week before the wedding and were immediately pleased with the quantity and quality of flowers we had received. Allison’s guide mentioned that some crushed or damaged blooms would be completely normal, but everything was so well packaged we didn’t notice more than a few damaged stems. From there, the DIYing began. Between unpacking, trimming, de-thorning, trimming again, building bouquets, arrangements, boutonnieres, etc, etc, it was a LOT of work. However, we referenced Allison’s guides (written, video tutorials) religiously and they laid out everything perfectly. She strongly recommends having plenty of assistants -- pay attention to this advice! Find a few trusted friends or family members who have time and artistic ability and it will make all the difference in your stress levels. The flowers all lasted beautifully for the wedding and we received so many compliments on how they looked. Allison - thank you for everything!

First of all, on behalf of myself, the bride and groom, and both of our families I'd like to offer a sincere THANK YOU for all that you did behind the scenes, especially throughout the very long day of the wedding. When I say, we couldn't have done it without you, that is a huge understatement. When we first booked the wedding venue, all of our friends who had had their children's weddings there stated how wonderful the person who was supposed to be our 'day of' wedding coordinator was in making sure things went smoothly. While I trusted their opinion, I quickly realized that he was an employee of the venue and might have conflicting priorities regarding the actual wedding day as it unfolded. They all questioned my need for a private wedding planner, but I am so happy I trusted my instincts to bring you on board because it is impossible, despite hours of planning to make sure all things go as expected during the various parts of the wedding, without help. Many things did not go as planned at the wedding, but very few because of our advanced work with you. Going forward, I will strongly recommend hiring a wedding planner and your company will definitely be on the short list of endorsed wedding vendors. Your calmness, regardless of what was going on, along with your competence to actually get things done was truly appreciated. As a perfectionist, I realized that there would be snafus along the way, but being able to depend on you helped temper my disappointment as they inevitably arose. I knew if something could be fixed, if you saw it or I mentioned it, needed changes would be made. As you well know, you only get one chance to create the wedding of someone's dreams, so having you and your team do everything possible to make that happen is priceless. Overall, we couldn't be happier with how the wedding turned out – the bride and groom and our guests really enjoyed themselves and I know that all the advanced work, with your guidance, really made the difference. Thank you Jen!
