About Helianthus and Lace
Amanda Suda
Helianthus and Lace is a wedding and event floral design business serving the deeply in love. Helianthus is the Latin term for sunflower and comes from the root Helio and Greek Helios, meaning Sun. As sunflowers are growing and beginning to bloom, they turn their heads towards the sun. I find this to be a great analogy for life - always look on the bright side. Flowers have been a part of my life since 2014, and I have been flowering weddings since 2018. I'm so glad you are here!
In my personal life and business, I am always working towards being more sustainable and Earth-friendly. I will work closely with local farms during the growing season to source local blooms and reduce the amount of emissions it takes to get your flowers into your hands.

A five-star experience from start to finish!
Working with Amanda as our florist was a gift we will always be grateful for. She was an absolute pleasure from the moment we connected — warm, attentive, and genuinely excited to help bring our wedding vision to life. We found ourselves just a month away from our big day without a florist, and it was truly crunch time. We needed someone we could trust wholeheartedly, someone who could understand our dream and make it real. Amanda was that person, without question. From our very first conversation, we felt seen and understood. She listened with care, asked thoughtful questions, and embraced our ideas with enthusiasm. Despite the short timeline, she was incredibly flexible and reassuring, easing our stress and replacing it with confidence. When she presented us with her beautiful vision board and proposal, we knew instantly we were in the right hands — everything reflected our style perfectly. Her pricing was incredibly fair, and her communication throughout the process made everything feel effortless. On the day of the wedding, the magic truly came to life. Our family arrived at the venue before we did and immediately began raving about how stunning the flowers were — and when we saw them ourselves, our hearts completely melted. Amanda transformed our space into the most enchanting summer garden meets intimate dinner celebration, with lush, vibrant arrangements and the exact color palette we had dreamed of. Every arrangement was full and thoughtfully composed, including the flowers we requested and delightful surprises we adored. Even the compotes and vessels were chosen with care — every detail felt intentional and beautiful. After the celebration, Amanda returned to break everything down, ensuring we were able to keep several arrangements to take home and preserve. It meant so much to continue enjoying pieces of our day long after the last song ended. We truly cannot imagine our wedding without her artistry. Amanda didn’t just design flowers — she created memories, atmosphere, and beauty we will remember forever. A five-star experience from start to finish, and we would recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone seeking a florist who works with passion, creativity, and heart.

From the moment we started working with Amanda, we knew we were in good hands! Her communication was excellent - she was quick to respond, super thorough, and put us completely at ease throughout the planning process. A Bridal Bouquet I’ll Cherish Forever
Amanda absolutely killed my floral vision for my wedding! From our very first meeting, I left feeling so confident and excited about what she was going to create and she somehow still exceeded every expectation. She is so easy to talk to, offers thoughtful and creative suggestions, and truly knows how to bring a vision to life. I told Amanda that my bridal bouquet was one of the most important elements of the entire day and that I planned to have it preserved afterward. She took my inspiration photos and elevated them into something even more beautiful than I imagined. Although she doesn’t do preservation herself, she went above and beyond by recommending an excellent vendor for that, too. Every floral detail was breathtaking, and I’m still getting compliments. If you’re looking for a florist who listens, cares, and creates absolute magic, Amanda is your girl. I couldn’t recommend her more!

Timeless, elegant, and absolutely perfect florals!
We absolutely loved working with Amanda! From the very beginning, the whole process was smooth and easy- from booking to our meetings and getting proposals back quickly. Communication was excellent the entire time; Amanda was always available for any questions and made everything feel effortless. Her prices were very reasonable, and she was so accommodating whenever we wanted to make changes or add something new. Leading up to the wedding, she followed our decor ideas so precisely that I was genuinely surprised (in the best way!) when I saw everything come together on the big day. Everywhere I looked was just stunning- her floral designs truly transformed the space and made everything feel magical. Amanda was also such a wonderful team player, working seamlessly with our other vendors and making sure every detail was perfect. You can really tell she cares deeply about her couples and wants their day to be as beautiful and stress-free as possible. We couldn’t have asked for anyone better- she went above and beyond, and I’d recommend her a thousand times over!

Best florist out there!
Working with Helianthus and Lace was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding. I love flowers, and I knew I wanted them to be a big part of our day, but it was also very important to me that I could source florals as sustainably as possible. As soon as I met Amanda, I could see her passion for creating beautiful designs with local blooms, and bringing visions to life. I could tell off the bat that she cares deeply about the couples she works with, and her thorough questions made me confident that she would execute my vision perfectly. Amanda had clear communication throughout our time working together and was quick to answer emails whenever I had a question. One thing I also loved was her invoicing system- she sent over one link to the invoice which would automatically update whenever we made changes. It’s a small detail, but it was incredibly helpful to know that I was always looking at the most updated version of our invoice (not digging through my emails and searching through multiple attachments) to keep track of costs. On the day, I nearly cried when I saw my bouquet it was so beautiful. Due to the weather, there was some back and forth figuring out where our ceremony would be held. Amanda worked with our coordinator and venue staff and came up with great solutions to repurpose the flowers for the outdoor ceremony site. I really appreciated her flexibility and ability to think on her feet to make the indoor space feel just as magical. Her work really elevated the room and gave the exact vibe that I was hoping for. So many of our guests raved and said they’d never seen flowers like ours at a wedding. I cannot recommend enough working with Amanda for your wedding. She really puts her heart and soul into her work, and feels like a friend through the planning process. If I had to do it again I’d choose her every time!!
