“My husband and I used Direct Entertainment for our DJ and videographer for our wedding and we could not be more pleased!! The team was professional, great at communication, very kind and professional, and they helped make our day absolutely perfect! Jeff, our DJ kept the dance floor alive ALL NIGHT!! When the music had to stop at the end of the night, the dance floor was still completely full and no one wanted it to end. He did a great job announcing the events of the night, made sure that our ceremony music was perfect, and he stuck to our wedding playlist with the exception for a couple guest requests (which we were happy to allow). We were so happy and thankful to have Jeff there! Sie, our videographer also did a wonderful job! We have not yet received our video as our wedding was less than 2 weeks ago, but I already know it is going to be amazing. He was so great with communication, was prompt with his timing, and he even set up a second camera for guests to break away and give us well wishes for our marriage, which I'm so excited to watch back. He was very professional and wonderful to work with. We decided to add videography at the last minute because we thought we might regret not having it, and I am SO happy we asked Jim at Direct Entertainment if they had someone available for our day just a month before, and they did!! Jim, the coordinator at Direct Entertainment frequently checked in with us, asked us questions about ourselves, and genuinely made us feel like he cared about us and our special day. He was great to work with leading up to being assigned our designated DJ and videographer, and even after, he checked in to make sure we were happy and that all of the planning was going well. Overall, we would 1000% recommend Direct Entertainment for any wedding entertainment needs! While their communication was a bit delayed leading up to the event, they were ultimately effective in executing on the day-of. The DJ kept the party going all night with a good song selection, though they did play 3 Taylor Swift songs in a row at the start, which we would have preferred more variety. The MC's ad-libs got a little overbearing at times, but overall they did a nice job sticking to the schedule and making important announcements. DJ Rony Gee was super fun and had everyone dancing throughout the evening. When guests were being lame, he went out and danced or said the right things at the right moment, which made everything run super smooth and got the guests pumped. Thier dance lighting and sound system appeared topnof the line and their uplighting gave the atmospher the right ambiance. Mike Medved Weddings- All Day Musician And DJ

“Booking Mike was truly one of the best decisions we made for our special day. He was the first vendor we confirmed after securing our venue/date. I met Mike back in 2018 when he reached out to inquire about becoming a preferred vendor at the venue I was managing at the time. The minute I met him I knew he was a unique vendor - live music, DJ’ing, and honestly one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. We asked Mike to play a number of community events and recommended to our couples, and he was always so easy to work with (and honestly made my job a lot easier on event days!) so I took my (now) husband to see Mike play and he agreed - Mike HAD to be there for our big day. The morning of our wedding, I was so disappointed to see rain in the forecast, as our ceremony was set to be outdoors. Mike was such an advocate for my dream ceremony - he did everything possible to get us outside. He moved his setup around to accommodate us and made it happen. We had a slight window where the rain stopped and we were able to have our perfect ceremony by the lake. The tears really started flowing when I heard Mike playing the song I’d chosen for my entrance, and I think I actually started crying harder when I saw him as I walked out, because I knew how hard he had worked to make my ceremony so special. The tears continued as he played the most wonderful version of “Sweet Child O’ Mine” for the father daughter dance. My dad was so skeptical at my song choice with a Guns N’ Roses song, but he actually leaned in mid-dance and said “Hey Mike is really good, this song is pretty great.” Dad approved! All of my family and friends were so impressed between the live music at the ceremony/cocktail hour and Mike keeping the party going DJ’ing throughout the rest of the evening. He kept us on track with all events (which was really important to me as a former wedding pro!) and really just made every aspect of the day so special and magical for Paul and I (not to mention he was extremely organized pre-wedding and I had absolutely no doubts day-of, he really put us at ease). I truly cannot recommend Mike enough, I would hire him a hundred times over. If you’re looking for a way to make your day unique, Mike is your guy!”

He engaged us early with regard to the schedule and the style of music and any special requests. He agreed to MC the event and gave our daughter every option she requested. He was committed to making sure the event was special. He did everything in his power to make it a memorable for the birthday girl and her guests. He planned ahead, he was early, dressed appropriately, actively engaged venue staff which made things so much easier for us. He engaged our guests regarding musical requests and to make the mood festive. Throughout the event he kept the energy level appropriate but upbeat. He kept the young folks and the old ones the dance floor. We had grandma and grandpa out there dancing with the great grandchildren. Finally, his price was reasonable. It was a fantastic event and we could not recommend Jay Stylez more highly.”
