I first entered the floral design world as an intern in 2016 and noticed a lack of originality in designs and a need for more connection between the florist and the couple. She moved to Central PA in 2017 with her husband, Ben, who teaches Mechanical Engineering at Bucknell University. Relocating from her home studio to Mifflinburg allowed for significant growth, including the expansion into larger-scale operations like Helix Hall, which now hosts Afternoon Teas and special events.

I grew up running around after my mom in her gardens and spent most of high school in the art department. I went off to design school and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design. Soon after, I started my first “real” design job and have been working in the industry in either commercial or residential design ever since, giving me thirty-five years of design experience. A second related career in Floral Design was added to my skill set when I was employed as a part-time floral designer and trained at Longwood Gardens. I decorated twenty-one Christmas trees that year and did a lot of beautiful custom designs.
