Cinematography has given me the creative outlet to tell stories that I always wanted growing up and my couples have given me amazing stories to tell. My main philosophy when it comes to Wedding Filmmaking is that it is not only about creating a video that tells the story of the wedding day, but it’s also about creating a film that tells the story of the couple. My filming style has been described as documentarian and pleasantly discrete. I may stage a few shots from time to time and I will work with the photographer as they are posing you for specific shots, but my films are defined by the fleeting moments in the midst of a very busy day.

Hello! My name is Alec and I run Small Batch Films! With a Master's Degree in Business Administration, I never thought I would find my love in wedding videography. I initially picked up a camera as a hobby, and then friends started asking me to do photography for them. Pretty soon I was doing photography for my friend's weddings, and I was hooked. It was such an exhilarating feeling to capture such an important day in the lives of two people in love! But where I really found my love was with the video camera.

The feelings you experience on your wedding day are like no other... a good filmmaker can bring those feelings back to life. Just as each wedding is different, each film is uniquely different. With over 12 years as a wedding filmmaker, I've learned when and where to position myself to capture the best moments but also being aware of guests and other vendors. I'm discreet during formalities and up in the action for dancing and fun!

We specialize in joyful, authentic wedding videography, capturing couples as they really are. Our favorite moments to capture are honest and unplanned, so we like to step back and film what happens naturally. We are based in West Chester, Pennsylvania. We film most often in Philadelphia, Lancaster, Baltimore, New Jersey and Delaware. We are happy to travel to other locations both near and far.
