Standing in the checkout line at Lowes, I saw a sign that read, "Happiness is doing what you love." Tears started to well in my eyes as I checked out, dreading returning to work that following Monday. We’re Maurice & Carrie, a husband & wife team who met while working at a movie theater in the suburbs of Chicago when we were just 19. We stayed best friends across states as we followed different paths, ultimately finding ourselves living in Cincinnati, Ohio, reunited (and eventually married in November 2020). Firefly Productions grew out of a passion to do something that was positive & meaningful, and we named it after the fireflies we loved chasing & capturing as children on those hot, summer Illinois nights. We love road trips and obsessed with all things history. We'd rather take the back roads and discover new small old towns!

I grew up in a small town on the west coast of Sweden and while my heart will always long for the ocean breeze, I have made Indiana my home together with my husband, Ryan, and our three children, Felix, Axel and Elinora. I love getting to know unique couples that have fallen head-over-heels for each other; I like re-telling that story through video, using interview clips from the couple themselves, as well as toasts, vows, and letters (if they have written some to exchange).

I was born and raised in New Orleans. I spent practically all of my life there until Hurricane Katrina forced me to leave. Since then, I've been chasing new highs by seeing new places and attending as many concerts as humanly possible. My love of storytelling definitely comes from different places, cultures and music!
