“DMF was the classic, rustic, dreamy wedding venue of my dreams. Their gorgeous white farmhouse was the perfect scene for my family to get ready in the day of our big day. Their front porch was a perfect way to watch the rain showers on the morning of our wedding while sipping mimosas. Staff at DMF were so friendly, and treated us like family. Their own personal bar service had all of the fixings we needed to allow our guests to let loose and party the night away!”

“Our experience having our wedding at the Delamar Mystic was truly magical. When we first started searching for venues, we knew we wanted to be somewhere on the water with a beautiful sunset. Funny enough, the Delamar Mystic wasn't originally on our list. While driving to tour other venues one day, we passed a beautiful building right on the water that immediately caught both of our attention. On a whim, we decided to turn around and see what it was. At the time, the hotel was still finishing construction and preparing for its soft opening the following weekend. By chance, there were staff members inside who were kind enough to show us around. The moment we saw the lobby, guest rooms, restaurant, and waterfront, something clicked. After touring several other venues, this was the first place where we could actually envision our wedding. There was certainly an element of trust involved in booking a brand-new hotel that was only beginning its first wedding season, and naturally there were some growing pains along the way. But ultimately, we couldn't be happier with our decision or with how beautifully everything came together. Our wedding day was everything we had hoped for. The setting was gorgeous, the food was delicious, and being directly on the Mystic River gave us opportunities that made the day uniquely ours. One of our favorite moments was chartering a small boat and sailing into cocktail hour, which was such a fun and memorable way to make our entrance. Being next to the Mystic Seaport Museum made something like that possible and is such a special feature of the location. We also highly recommend booking the cabin for the bridal party. It is incredibly spacious and was the perfect place for everyone to get ready together that morning. Having such a comfortable, dedicated space made the getting-ready portion of the day that much more enjoyable. Brian, our coordinator at the Delamar, was extremely helpful throughout the process and helped us navigate all the details that came with planning a wedding at a new venue. We also held our after-party at the hotel's restaurant, which was the perfect way to continue celebrating without asking our guests to travel somewhere else at the end of the night. There is something very special about knowing we were among the first couples to celebrate our wedding at the Delamar Mystic. We took a chance on a brand-new venue after discovering it completely by accident, and it turned into exactly the waterfront wedding we had been hoping for. Looking back, that spontaneous decision to turn the car around feels like it was meant to be. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful setting for our wedding.”

“We had our wedding at the Boat Shed last weekend, and I truly cannot say enough good things about our experience with Constellation Catering. They went above and beyond and completely exceeded our expectations. Mary, Chantelle, Amy, and Angela were absolute superstars. They took care of everything for us and were always one step ahead. They were patient, incredibly helpful, kind, and genuinely caring throughout the entire process. On the wedding day, we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves knowing they had everything handled. They completely transformed the Boat Shed for our reception, and it looked absolutely beautiful. We chose the salmon and short rib for our entrées, and everything was delicious and came out hot. The entire staff was organized and efficient, and dinner service ran so smoothly. There was no sitting around waiting forever between courses—they kept everything moving while still making the evening feel relaxed and enjoyable. From setup and service to cleanup at the end of the night, everything was handled quickly and seamlessly. We felt incredibly well taken care of from start to finish. If you have the opportunity to book the Boat Shed for your wedding, do not hesitate. Between the beautiful views of the Mystic River, the history and charm of Mystic Seaport, and the incredible team at Constellation Catering, it is such a special place to get married. “Haley Mansion was such an incredible place to have our wedding. It was GORGEOUS. Multiple times throughout the day I found myself taking in how beautiful our surroundings were. The spaces were perfect. It was so nice getting ready onsite. I really felt like the mansion was my home for the day!! The cocktail hour space looked over the sound with sailboats and had a nice breeze coming in. The reception space was the perfect combination of inside and outside (since both the cocktail hour and reception spaces were under tents I was never stressed about rain!). We ended the night with an after party at Rocks 21 which we really enjoyed because it gave us an extended time to talk and relax with our guests. Then we went to bed in our room at the mansion with our closest friends staying next door!! It all felt so special. Beyond the property itself, I cannot stress how amazing the team at Haley Mansion was. Catherine took care of us from start to finish. My friends commented throughout the planning process how stress free I seemed and I really feel like I owe so much of that to Catherine because I trusted that she had things in hand. On the night of the wedding, I mentioned at one point to (my now!!) husband that I needed to change into my dancing shoes. Someone who worked at the mansion overheard me and immediately went and got them for me and put them at my place at the table. This is just one of many things that the team did for me. All of this is to say, I could not have asked for more from this venue. I am so thankful to all of them for their kindness and support. If you have the opportunity to have your wedding here, do it!!”

“I cannot say enough amazing things about the Mystic Yachting Club. It is truly a hidden gem within the beauty that is Mystic, CT. This all-inclusive venue has everything you need to build your perfect day. First of all, the structure is beyond stunning. The wood work and coloring is perfection for a New England coastal wedding. Beyond that, it sits right on the river with gorgeous boats right off the back deck. Beyond it’s beauty, the staff are a dedicated team of professionals who are truly there to make your day exactly what you want it to be. Working with Aimee was honestly one of the best parts of the planning process. Her knowledge and professionalism made me incredibly confident in our day from beginning to end. She was always there to answer a question or talk me off the ledge. When it looked like the Nor’Easter was going to rip through CT, she and Mary (also amazing) calmly provided my husband and myself with our options. Mary, our day of coordinator was also wonderful! She was organized, on time, and knew exactly how to keep the ship moving! The entire staff at the yacht club were wonderful people who were excited to celebrate with us. Their kindness went a long way with us. Thank you, Mystic Yacht Club for making our crazy day perfect.”

“Booked the house and barn for our wedding weekend and I'm so glad we kept it through Sunday. The ceremony was elsewhere but we used the barn for an after party / brunch the morning after and it ended up being everyone's favorite part of the trip. Coffee on the porch, the whole wedding party hanging out one last time, zero pressure and no checkout clock chasing us out by noon. The farmhouse is beautiful and clean and the barn is a genuinely special space, not some generic event hall. Plenty of room for our group. Communication was quick and clear from start to finish. If you're getting married anywhere near Stonington and you want your people all in one place for the weekend, this is it. Five stars, would recommend to any couple.”

“Saybrook Point Resort & Marina truly became the wedding venue of our dreams. From the moment we arrived, we could feel how special and full of charm this place is. The views are stunning, the team is attentive, and every single detail felt effortless from start to finish. Abby and Meredith were incredible — they worked flawlessly with our planner, Nicole from Pretty Peony Planning, and together they made everything look seamless. We booked the guest houses for our wedding parties to get ready, and it was one of the best choices we made. The private, cozy, and beautiful spaces made the morning feel joyful, calm, and personal. It felt like home — but with more space and more luxury. It felt like we were getting ready in a real life dollhouse! Being just steps away from the venue while still having our own space was the perfect way to start the day. “We had our wedding on 6/22/2024 at Angel & Anchor Farm with 125 guests. It was absolutely the best day ever thanks to the venue owners, Bill and Nicole. The venue is absolutely stunning. There are so many spots on the farm for your ceremony, for photos, etc. The farm was in full bloom in June as well. The bridal and groomsmen suite were also stunning, and offered a beautiful and cozy space for everyone to get ready in the morning. Bill and Nicole are also incredible. They truly did everything possible to make our wedding day so special. We didn't have to worry about a single thing, they were on it. From making adjusting for weather, setting up our beautiful reception tent, to attending the fire and more, they made our day absolutely flawless. If anything went wrong, my husband and I didn't know about it because Bill and Nicole just took care of it. We absolutely loved our wedding day and our guests kept saying the same. The farm is sprawling and offers so much space for guests to walk around and mingle. Everyone truly had an amazing time. Couldn't recommend the venue enough.”

Their communication style is incredibly responsive, helpful, and enthusiastic - they go above and beyond to ensure every detail is taken care of. Great quality of work for a the value ; the venue is open, clean, bright, and airy, creating the perfect atmosphere for a wedding or big event . One memorable example was when the staff dressed up along with the Gatsby-themed wedding, truly immersing themselves in the couple's vision. My only suggestion would be for them to potentially expand their parking area in the future, but overall, Hope Lodge Venue is an excellent option for couples seeking a beautiful, well-managed wedding venue and one they could decorate and make their own.”

“Wright’s Mill Farm gave us the wedding day of our dreams — truly, I don’t even have the words for how perfect everything was. From the moment we booked, Bri was an absolute angel. She coordinated every detail with so much care, patience, and flexibility. No matter what I needed or how many times I changed my mind, she was right there making everything feel easy and stress-free. I could feel how much she genuinely cared about our day, and that meant the world. The staff the night of our wedding was beyond amazing. Every single person brought such warmth and energy, and the bartenders were absolutely stellar — they kept the party going, kept every guest happy, and did it all with huge smiles. Our friends and family are still talking about how incredible they were. The food and appetizers were delicious, beautifully presented, and exactly what we hoped for. And the s’mores bar? Such a perfect, cozy, magical touch that made the night feel even more special. Standing there with the people we love, in a place so stunning and cared for by a team that truly goes above and beyond, felt like living inside a dream. I wish I could do it a thousand times over. Some ideas need time and space to materialize. Transforming an old rodeo horse farm into a creative compound for events and projects has proven to be a challenging example. Over time, thoughtful outbuildings and spaces are popping up throughout a fourteen-acre campus of oak forests and wild meadows. One hundred feet of wiggly barn welcomes experiences from intimate projects to large wedding celebrations with loved ones. Now, it’s a steady push towards sustainable, creative projects working in sync with the natural surroundings. Get out in the woods, get a little weird. Try to have a good time. “When we were looking for a wedding venue, we wanted a place where we could create a day that was totally ours. Okay Island exceeded every expectation we had. Our biggest priority was that everyone had something fun to do. We knew not everyone on our guest list was a big dancer, and Adam helped us plan a fire pit to sit around with cornhole boards; he even let us bring in a ping pong table for guests to play at. Probably one of the most special parts of booking with Okay Island was that Adam spoke of so many plans he had to continue to have the space grow and evolve. It felt really special to be able to get married in a space that was just a snapshot of the venue’s story, knowing that we were part of the ride. Our guests had such a great time. So many of them suggested we host a party at Okay Island every year! We're big fans of that idea”

“We recently had our wedding at Water’s Edge Resort and Spa, and overall, it was a beautiful and memorable day. The setting is absolutely stunning, with a gorgeous waterfront backdrop that sets the tone for a romantic, coastal celebration. The Venue: The venue itself is the real star. The ceremony space overlooking the water is breathtaking, and our guests were wowed. The Royal Ballroom was elegant and clean, though it felt a bit tight for our 200-person guest count and had a small dance floor. The staff did a great job setting up. One of the biggest positives was their effort to keep our ceremony outside despite some tricky weather. Plan B changed multiple times throughout the day, but they were flexible and made a call two hours before—allowing us to have a lovely outdoor ceremony on the patio. The Coordination Team: This is where things fell short. The onsite wedding coordinators did their jobs but offered little more. They operate within a narrow set of rules, and most non-standard requests were met with a “no.” If you want anything custom, you’ll need to go to the head of sales. We strongly recommend hiring an independent wedding planner. The coordinators are not substitutes for a full-service planner and do not assist with day-of timelines. Don’t expect personalized guidance—you’ll need to advocate for yourself throughout. Tasting & Food: The tasting experience was one of the low points. The food was poorly executed, and it left us anxious. That said, the kitchen completely redeemed itself on the big day. The wedding food was delicious, well-presented, and received many compliments from our guests. We’re grateful they delivered when it mattered most. Pricing & Contracts: Expect extra charges for nearly everything. Review your contract closely—Water’s Edge adheres strictly to what’s written, even when verbal communication during planning differs. This added stress and confusion. Their team is extremely contract-focused, so nothing should be assumed unless it’s clearly in writing. Hotel & Room Block: The hotel is beautiful but expensive. Managing the room block was more difficult than anticipated, and we were quoted one rate, but our final contract reflected another. This required a lot of back-and-forth to sort out and added unnecessary friction to the planning process. Final Thoughts: Despite the challenges, we had a truly wonderful wedding day. The venue was stunning, our guests had an amazing time, and everything ran smoothly thanks to their structured operation. Water’s Edge is definitely a “wedding factory”—they’re efficient, but not especially flexible or tailored. If you go in with clear expectations, a strong outside planner, and a willingness to advocate for what you want, you can absolutely have the wedding of your dreams here. We’re grateful for the memories and happy with how everything turned out in the end.”
