Cottage Grove, MN

  • Limited services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $1,500

In 1910, President Taft signed the bill to establish Glacier National Park as the country’s 10th national park. Mr. Healy was given a plumbing contractor for the train depot here in St. Paul, where he met Samuel Bartlett, the architect of many of the railroad depots and Glacier National Park Lodge. Healy then commissioned Bartlett to renovate and enlarge the house. In 1914, the farm was sold to John Healy, the owner of Healy Plumbing and Heating Company of St. Paul. Mr. Healy’s company became closely tied to the Great Northern Railroad, as it provided the heating and plumbing for many of the train depots that were being built around the country at that time. The farm was named Hope Glen Farm, the name of John Healy’s mother’s maiden name of Hope, and the house settles in a Glen, thus Hope Glen.

We held both our ceremony and reception at The Grand. Lindsay, the event coordinator, is awesome. She does everything in her power to accomodate your needs, has everything down pat and thinks of everything so that nothing unexpected can come your way. Service and bar staff were amazing, food was delicious, and the venue is stunning. If I had to do it all over again I would 100% pick The Grand Event Center and I will recommend to everyone I know.

Our 75 acres of rolling hills and oak trees provide a spacious setting for a one location all day wedding celebration. Our heated and air-conditioned buildings give you the confidence of having a comfortable farm wedding regardless of the weather.

Almquist did an amazing job with everything. Venue was nice and clean ! Beautiful inside and out. Very easy to work with . Unfortunately the day we got married it rained. But Almquist quickly had a plan in place to transition to an indoor wedding. Fantastic people with a fantastic venue.

We could not have been happier with our choice to have our wedding at Watson Block. This elegant space has a vintage meets modern appeal that worked perfectly with our vintage-inspired wedding theme. The beautiful interiors were a lovely foundation that did not need much more added to it. The venue manager and team helped make our day go smoothly. It also worked out well that we could host our ceremony and reception in the same space to make it easy for all guests who attended, especially since many traveled from out of town. We would highly recommend this place due to its beauty, service, and affordable price point.

Victoria and 413 on Wacouta are absolutely AMAZING! My husband and I could not be more thrilled with choosing this venue for our special day. First of all, the ceremony and reception happened in the same place so we didn't have to worry about transferring anywhere - huge plus! Secondly, we are huge fans of St. Paul and being able to have roof access to take photos with the St. Paul skyline was so perfect. Everything went smoothly and Victoria was a huge help on our day making sure everyone was where they needed to be. She was a great go-to person. The venue is absolutely beautiful - very good St. Paul vibes! We will always recommend this venue and Victoria to anyone!

This dignified stone mansion provides a gracious inviting atmosphere for the wedding reception in Saint Paul you and your guests will always remember. A courteous staff relieves you of all responsibility so you can enjoy the day with your guests. The unique mansion style wedding venue in Saint Paul is the perfect location for those who want something different for their special day. Summit Manor is an elegant yet comfortable setting with beautiful grounds for you and your guests to enjoy. A complete reception service including the use of the Mansion, catering, linens, silver service, dance floor, beautiful grounds, speakeasy style bar facilities... everything you will need for your perfect day. We also love short notice and small weddings. *** We Love Micro Weddings***

We recently had our ceremony and reception at the Summit Manor House. It was a marvelous event. During our first meeting with David McLaughlin, the coordinator, he said his goal was to have us feel like guests at our own wedding. I will say he achieved that goal. The planning for the ceremony and reception were very easy, as David responded quickly to each email and call. He is very organized and had all the answers. I love the low-stress planning as Summit manor takes care of all linen, tables and seasonal flowers. He also was very flexible with some unique requests I had for our reception. I was initially worried about not being able to taste the food before the reception. David assured me the food was good. I have to say the food was outstanding. All of our guests were impressed with the food and many people went back for seconds. The Buttercream cake was great. David was there the day of the ceremony and reception and coordinated everything well. I highly recommend The Summit Manor for special events. It is a classic location for an elegant event.

I was so happy that we chose the landmark as our venue. It’s absolutely beautiful, needs minimal decoration and is right across from rice park and the St. Paul hotel. They allow you to bring in your own catering, which was great for our multicultural wedding. The Landmark staff are super helpful, and it was an amazing experience!

With 19,073 square feet of historic charm and updated luxury, Semple Mansion is the most magical wedding venue in Minneapolis. Every year since its opening in 2006, we have been an award-winning venue. The Semple Mansion boasts the largest original residential ballroom in Minneapolis—uniquely situated on the third floor for sweeping views of Downtown Minneapolis. It is absolutely enchanting for an evening reception. Your wedding at The Semple Mansion is guaranteed to be the most magical day of your life.

I have photographed multiple weddings at Semple Mansion. It is a gorgeous venue with lots of places to take photos. One of my favorite spots is the grand staircase - it's beautiful and has amazing window light! The ceremony space is beautiful - to capture the beauty a skilled photographer can balance the lighting in the space filled with window light from many directions. The getting ready room is fantastic with the separate space for storage of items, helps keep the space tidy.
