“I cannot say enough good things about Gabby and Claudio Cakes! I found Gabby on Zola while planning our 120-person wedding. Though I reached out to other bakers, Gabby stood out with her variety of items, designs, and services. I am an indecisive person, so when I contacted Gabby, we only had a rough idea of what we wanted: a small cake and a dessert table. Gabby’s excellent communication skills helped us find exactly what we didn’t even know we wanted. She took our vague ideas and brought them to life with her creativity. Gabby met with us for a tasting, where we got to try an impressive selection of cake combinations. From what I recall, she offered more choices than any other baker we considered. While we aren’t typically cake people, every single thing we tasted was absolutely delicious. Our wedding was in Ventura County, and Gabby was able to provide delivery from LA. Our wedding started later than usual, and Gabby was flexible with a later delivery time, which was a huge help since our wedding was outdoors—we didn’t want desserts melting before the reception started. Even our coordinator mentioned how great this was since it’s not a standard service. In the end, we ordered around 19 dozen assorted pastries and a small cake for photos. The desserts were such a hit that they were gone almost immediately, and even months later, guests are still talking about how amazing everything was. Some even mentioned being disappointed they didn’t get to try anything because the treats disappeared so quickly. Throughout the whole process, Gabby was professional, knowledgeable, and communicated flawlessly. I truly wish all my vendors were as amazing as her. “Our daughter was married Sept 2023 and we worked with Yessie for her wedding cake and all the desserts at the dessert table. She was fantastic! Our daughter had a floral 'Alice in Wonderland'-ish wedding and Yessie worked with us making sure she got all the details exactly right for the cake. Our daughter wanted bright floral colors in the desserts with a bit of woodland look. Yessie took all this into consideration and really came thru to execute the look/feel our daughter wanted. We are in NC, so alot of the planning and design was thru email and messenger and Yessie was always super quick to respond and never let messages sit there for days like some of the vendors. “Amy was an absolute joy to work with! Because my husband is Peruvian American, we really wanted to have a dessert table at our reception (a Peruvian wedding tradition). We were in Nashville for the weekend for wedding planning, and Amy threw together a tasting box for us with barely any notice. “Shannon is the absolute BEST ! To start off- she is a wonderful and kind person, and made this whole experience a huge treat. The consultation and tasting were easy to schedule and very informative. She always addressed our questions or concerns in a timely and professional manner. Details on how to store and preserve our cake were provided, along with great communication with our venue. Although we went for a classic almond cake with raspberry filling, she has a huge selection of fun and unique flavors. Shannon got our vision right EXACTLY !
