After hobby baking for friends and family for 20 years I was encouraged by my sister to start my home bakery business in 2020. I have had the honor of making over a 1000 wedding cakes over the last 5 years.

I strive to provide the best customer service I can, work with the freshest ingredients, this combined with my attention to detail is what I believe sets me apart from the competition. Weddings can be stressful enough I want my brides to feel confident in the choice they have made with their baker, that they will receive a quality product that not only tastes amazing but is a showstopper as well.

Working with Cakes and Confections By Merry was hands down one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From our first conversation, Merry made the entire process stress-free and straightforward – she really listened to what we wanted and delivered exactly that. She even met us in a snowstorm for our tasting, which showed us just how dedicated she is to her clients. Our guests could not stop raving about the cake and cupcakes – they were absolutely delicious and looked stunning on our dessert table. Merry was wonderful to work with throughout planning and on our big day, and we honestly can't recommend her highly enough. If you're looking for a dessert vendor who cares about making your wedding special, she's your person.

The best wedding cake i've ever seen
Working with Cakes and Confections By Merry was such a joy from start to finish. Merry listened carefully to my vision and brought it to life in ways I didn't even know were possible—the cake was more gorgeous than I imagined and our guests couldn't stop raving about it. Beyond the stunning design, the flavors were incredible: moist, flavorful, and genuinely delicious in every bite. Merry communicated with me at every step, stayed responsive to my questions, and made the whole process feel collaborative rather than stressful. She's a true professional with real talent, and she treated my dream cake like it was the most important project in the world. If you want someone who will deliver exactly what you envision and then exceed your expectations, Merry is your baker. Also, if your interested in a fake cake rather than all real she does that too! She's amazing all the way around!

Delicious & Beautiful!
We ordered cupcakes, cheesecake shooters, and a 3 tiered cake for our wedding and it was one of the biggest hits at our wedding! Merry allowed us to do a taste test at our own home where she dropped off the cupcakes to us and I loved the more intimate experience with just my partner and I in the comfort of our home. She was very communicative throughout the booking process and leading up to our wedding. Everything arrived on time the day of the wedding and in perfect condition! Our cake was so beautiful and perfect I almost hesitated to cut into it, but then I remembered how delicious the taste test was and dug in! My husband and daughter ask me daily if we can slice up the top tier rather than waiting until our anniversary. We had plenty of left over food, but there was not a single dessert left by the end of the night! All in all we had an amazing experience and everything was exactly the way I wanted it to be as discussed! We went with a peanut butter cake with cream cheese frosting, cheesecake shooters, and red velvet cupcakes!

Cakes and Confections By Merry was a pleasure to work with for our wedding. Their communication was prompt, easy, and friendly throughout the entire planning process. The team was hard-working and easy-going, providing us with a beautiful wedding cake, delicious cupcakes, floral arrangements, and even a bartending team. Everything they contributed to our special day was fun, exciting, and easy to work with. We were so impressed by the quality of their work and the value they provided. Amazing!!
We tried several different cakes in the Knoxville area & always ended up comparing everything back to Cakes and Confections! So excited to have Merry be a part of our special day. The vanilla bean cake is incredible!
