I had my first shot at managing a sushi restaurant when I took over an empty section of the family restaurant and introduced sushi to my customers. It was a challenge that I will never regret accepting. It was fun, a lot of fun! I had the opportunity to work with some really talented and creative chefs. I quickly learned that it’s not just about having fresh fish anymore. Sushi dining has transformed into a culture. A culture built by imagination and creativity. With the help of GD and the support of my family, I took all that experience and fused it with my imagination and created Yooshi Sushi Catering and Event Production.

working in New York pizzerias, moving through different shops, long shifts, high volume, no shortcuts. That’s where the standard was set. Five years ago, I moved to Los Angeles and bought my first pizza truck with one goal: bring real New York–style pizza to the West Coast. We focused strictly on catering, built for speed, consistency, and large crowds. Since then, we’ve grown into a high-volume catering operation, serving hundreds of guests per event and working with brands like Nike, Skechers, Netflix, Amazon, and Alo. We know how to execute — on time, under pressure, and at scale.

In 1985, Chef/Owners Susan Feniger and Mary Sue Milliken debuted the first Border Grill as a small, forty seat “taco stand” on Melrose out of a deep affection and appreciation of the Mexican kitchen. Effortlessly blending their classical culinary training with conscientiously-sourced ingredients, and regional recipes inspired by home cooks from Oaxaca to Mexico City, street vendors in Tijuana, and taco stands along the Yucatan and Baja coasts, the award-wining chefs continue to evolve their California-inflected Mexican-inspired cuisine.
