One of our favorite thoughtful touches was the small box they put together for us to take back to our room with a sampling of each dessert — just in case we didn’t have time to grab any during the reception (which we didn’t!). “I would definitely recommend my sugar wishes especially if you have a food sensitivity. Connie is very easy to work with and a great experience overall. “We cannot say enough amazing things about our wedding baker! From start to finish, the experience was absolutely incredible. The tasting experience was super easy and stunning. Our traditional tiered cake was stunning, elegant, beautifully crafted, and topped with sugar flowers that were so realistic that I genuinely thought they were fake at first. The level of detail and artistry was beyond anything we imagined. I had tears in my eyes when I saw her bring in the cake. What truly set our baker apart, though, was her willingness to take on something completely unique. We asked for a “bleeding armadillo” cake inspired by Steel Magnolias (not exactly a typical wedding request but if you know, you know) and even though she wasn’t familiar with it, she absolutely nailed it! Not only did it look fantastic, but it was also delicious and a huge hit with our guests. After the tasting, we requested that the red velvet be a little darker for the effect of the bleeding armadillo from the movie. Again, she surpassed our expectations. Her creativity, skill, and dedication made our wedding desserts are truly unforgettable. She guided us through tasting samples and consultation calls with so much care, always staying considerate of our needs, making customizations, and advising us exactly where necessary. While our Red Velvet cake was absolutely delicious on the inside, and she added extra cookies to the cake after our follow-up consultation. We learned a tough lesson about deep-colored frosting. Cheryl warned us about the impacts of using heavy dye to achieve a burgundy exterior (as we wanted to avoid fondant), and we should have listened! The exterior ended up with a bit of a chemical taste and stained everything it touched. Take our advice: Cheryl knows her stuff! If she makes a suggestion on color or texture, trust her expertise—you’ll be in great hands. Aside from our own misunderstanding, the service and cake quality were wonderful.”

Juries baked a stunning masterpiece that was almost too gorgeous to eat (but we’re so glad we did!). Her fondant flowers were each a true work of art. Honestly, cutting into it felt wrong… art shouldn’t be edible, and yet we ate it up!! We ordered a bunch of other desserts for our after-party, and they disappeared before we could even reach the table! But I heard they were delicious! “10000% Recommend Kaly’s Cakes and Bakes for your next wedding/event! You can really tell that Kaly takes so much time and effort to create these amazing works of art! From the very start she was helpful/attentive in creating my dream wedding cake. The cake was fully customizable with options for colors, flower types, tiers, etc, and the result was exactly what we had hoped for! Everyone at the wedding was talking about how beautiful it was and how detailed the flowers were. For flavors we opted for raspberry vanilla and it was delicious!
