First Time's the Charm

5.0

  • Starts at $3,000
  • Serves Nobleboro, ME

We are two best friends, Sophie and Lauren, who turned our shared love of flowers into a true passion project! What started as creative fun has grown into a business rooted in trust, collaboration, and thoughtful design. We specialize in florals that feel joyful, personal, and inspired by nature. Once you decide to work with us, the planning shifts fully off your shoulders and onto ours. Our goal is to be the easiest and most supportive vendor you work with, while creating designs that feel impactful and true to you. We can’t wait to meet you! We love hearing your ideas and collaborating together to find the perfect fit for your day!

Sophie and Lauren were excellent partners in making our wedding vision come alive. We had a rough idea of what we wanted in terms of a vibe for our wedding (elegant and coastal Maine but with a colorful coastal Italian twist) but had no idea in terms of how that would translate to florals. Sophie and Lauren came to our where our ceremony and reception would be, and helped us evolve what I’d initially envisioned for flowers to something far more fit for the theme. Planning a wedding takes up an incredible amount of mental energy, and I told them to run with what I’d given them —and boy did they deliver. From initial mood boards they had pulled together, they created the most beautiful arrangements in silver chalices a family member loaned to us, a stunning flower pik floral aisle, and gorgeous simple tablescapes with varying ivory and green textures and clementines that still left plenty of room for our family style dinner. Sophie and Lauren were so excited to bring my rough vision to life and fielded plenty of questions on my end around how to create a cohesive theme (who knew choosing napkins would take up so much of my brain space?) with decisiveness and enthusiasm. We highly recommend these ladies to deliver unique and original florals for any event!

NOT YOUR AVERAGE FLORIST/ FLORAL ARTIST Beyond blown away by the florals Stacy prepared for our spring wedding. From meeting with her and her daughter at her picturesque farm in Belmont to the day of the wedding - She went above and beyond creating everything from stunning ceremony installations to flowing centerpieces that differed from table to table. I can say hands down our florals are what made our wedding so visually striking. She doesn't miss a beat, drawing inspiration from the bride and grooms ensembles and color palette - she nailed the aesthetic we were hoping for. In fact, we loved the flowers so much - I collected every flower she utilized to take home to dry and preserve. I cannot wait to share the photos our photographer got of her work with her and her team. We truly cannot thank you enough - you are an incredibly talented artist and we will remember the beauty of our special day forever 3

  • Starts at $4,000
  • Serves Nobleboro, ME

I have a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Maine in Business and Marketing and have worked in the floral/ horticulture industry for 30 years. Flowers have always been my passion and bringing someone’s vision to life is of utmost importance. Event design and execution is my strong point. Our team of creative floral designers work closely with the me and the couple to create your floral concept and overall vision.

can’t recommend Flowers by Hoboken enough for all your flower needs. I got married in August 2024 in Bar Harbor, ME and choosing Flowers by Hoboken was one of the easiest decisions. Lisa made the process so easy and enjoyable. She looked at my inspiration through Pinterest, Instagram, and her own previous clients and put together a unique and beautifully thought out proposal. I ended up adding more flowers last minute and Lisa made it very easy to do so. She also sourced a lot of our flowers locally which was really special. Our flowers were better than we could have ever imagined. It was such a pleasure working with Lisa and her team for our wedding flowers and I would recommend them over and over again. Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

4.9

  • Starts at $350
  • Serves Nobleboro, ME

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

Awarded Best of Zola
Flower Moxie - Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers provided amazing and quick communication throughout the process. The flowers arrived beautifully and they provided plenty of instructions to help keep them looking their best. While I ended up ordering way too much due to not making as many arrangements as I had anticipated, the blue flowers they provided were absolutely stunning and really contributed to the beautiful floral design and color palette on our wedding day. I would highly recommend Flower Moxie to any couple looking for a reliable and high-quality DIY wedding florals option.

The Faux Bouquets

5.0

  • Starts at $175
  • Serves Nobleboro, ME

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

Awarded Best of Zola
Use The Faux Bouquets! I know there are a lot of options out there for faux florals, but this company really stands out. Absolutely gorgeous selections. We chose one of the more basic options because of our color scheme but there were so many more stunning, fun and colorful options out there as well! We used them for the bouquets and boutonnieres and it made life so easy. No need to worry about the flowers staying alive or getting water stains on your dresses. We had everything in bins ready to go before wedding day. Great pricing. The bouquets are so full and you can see the thought that goes into choosing the colors, type, and placement of each flower. The company communication is quick, kind, informative, and they are just all around amazing!

🌹 WE ARE NOT FRESH FLOWER FLORISTS. WE WORK WITH WOOD & FAUX FLOWERS. PLEASE ACKNOWLEDGE THIS IN YOUR REPLY. 🌹 Wood & Word Blooms is run by a Jen Angle, former teacher of 20+ years and specializes in using hand-painted wood flowers along with a faux, dried and preserved florals (nothing fresh here) to bring your wedding vision to life not just for that one glorious day but forever. Besides designing for you, I also offer DIY Wood Flower Experiences to create your wedding florals alongside me in person or virtually and 1:1 sessions to help DIY brides learn to do it themselves.

Awarded Best of Zola
Jen was AMAZING to work with! When it came to flowers for my wedding, I had NO IDEA what I wanted. She was very patient with me and helped talk me through my vision. She gave me flowers to pick from, talked about how big I wanted my bouquet and how much greenery I wanted, and then when I could find colors I liked in swatches, she color-matched the colors I wanted from an inspo pic I found online! She was very professional and patient with me, even when my plans changed or I needed to add to my order.  I am not the best at putting together a bouquet. I am also someone who likes control, especially when it came to planning my wedding. I was thankful that I was able to give Jen the reins, tell her what I wanted, and watch her make my dreams come true. When I first saw my flowers, I was speechless. She truly did make my floral dreams come true, and now I get to keep my bouquet for the rest of my life! A wooden flower bouquet from Jen is the way to go!

Wintertide Floral

5.0

  • Starts at $3,500
  • Serves Nobleboro, ME

My foundation in floral design began on a small flower farm in Vermont over 10 years ago, where I immersed myself in the full lifecycle of the work—planting, harvesting, and arranging blooms directly from the field. That experience shaped my style: deeply seasonal, textural, and guided by an intuitive understanding of form and color. My aesthetic is loose and intentional, layered with luxurious texture and touched by a sense of intentional wildness. A steward of sustainable design, I avoid floral foam and plastics, and aim to use local materials wherever I can to have the lightest footprint on our planet possible.

Jenny’s florals for my wedding were an absolute dream, she completely nailed my vision within my budget and I couldn’t have gone with a better florist. Her work is stunning and I received non-stop compliments on her beautiful and unique arrangements. She totally understood my color scheme and vibe, and everything, especially the bridal bouquet, was perfection!! And to top it all off, Jenny is a wonderful and kind person to work with. 110% recommend!

Milkweed Floral Co.

5.0

  • Serves Nobleboro, ME

Hi! I’m Iris, the mind, body, and soul behind Milkweed! As a lot of dad’s like to joke, my name must be a birthright into floristry. In all honesty, it really has been a constant thread throughout my life. From picking flowers in my mom’s garden, to working in a flower shop in Boston right after college, then tackling florals for my own wedding in 2021, and eventually freelancing for event florists around Maine - I fell head over heels for wedding florals!

Awarded Best of Zola
Iris at Milkweed Design Co exceeded every expectation I had for my wedding in 2023! I love flowers and wanted a lot all over the venue, but I didn't specify know which ones I wanted. Iris created the perfect design that I was imagining but couldn't put into words myself. She suggested and constructed an elaborate show stopping floral installation on a tree welcoming guests to the venue and offering an unique backdrop for photos! The colors, textures, and attention to detail were perfection! Each arrangement completely transformed the space into something magical. It was clear how much care, creativity, and passion went into every aspect of Iris' work. Our guests couldn’t stop complimenting the flowers at the time, and to this day, it's the one thing everyone still brings up! If you’re looking for someone incredibly talented, hard-working, and thoughtful—someone who truly cares about her craft and the clients who trust her with one of the most important days of their lives—look no further!

From my bridal bouquet to the ceremony urns to the reception tables every detail was stunning. Her work is extremely elegant and elevated while still feeling whimsical and natural. She is truly an artist! Emma also went above and beyond - she was our Woodstock guru, providing guidance on details beyond florals. She also kindly checked in on me during stressful moments, offering emotional support.

You don’t come across someone with this much dedication, passion, craftsmanship, knowledge, and genuine love for their art often. Ashley is truly gifted in all things florals, and every piece she made for me, including my trials, had my jaw drop and moved my family to tears. She puts her heart into every flower she tends to, and you can see it in the intricacies of her work. She’s an artist, and these are her little masterpieces. I’ve grown to respect florals on a new level thanks to her. She knows so much about each flower (even their science names!), how to pair textures, coordinate colors, balance shapes and sizes—she’s making a work of art. So in terms of honoring your vision and creating something magical, trust Ashley with your whole heart. Now comes to the administrative work. Just when I thought I couldn’t love Ashley more, she created slide deck presentations (oh yes, you read that right) on what I was looking for/my inspo, provided updated proposals every time I added something new to my ask, triple-checked any time I made a change, and was extremely communicative, professional, and responsive. My fastest vendor when it came to email. And I’ll admit, I wasn’t an easy client. I went from having no wedding party to having 5 bridesmaids and 5 groomsmen. I went from no ceremony florals to decorating the whole aisle. (I couldn’t help myself since Ashley has such reasonable prices I could actually afford my dream florals, but also once again, my trials were so beautiful, I couldn’t resist). I changed colors, visions, ideas, and emailed her more times than I can count over the course of many months, and Ashley followed it to a T and kept track of it all. Ashley showed up to a walkthrough at my venue that was super far just to get to know the space and guide where florals would work best, taking notes, asking questions, and going above and beyond. She didn't need to do that for us. She did anyway. She kept up with all my asks and updates flawlessly. And on the day, she nailed every single item from boutonniere to bud vase. Side notes: I had a rosary blessed by the Pope for my wedding, and Ashley handled it with such respect, integrity, and reverence. That says a lot about a person. My mom, who has worked in florals and crafts for a long time, was speechless when she saw the work Ashley created. When she looked at the internal workings and weaving, she noted just how much time she must have spent handcrafting my floral crown. When I was walking out with my trial bouquet, I literally had a stranger stop me in my tracks to ask where on Earth I got such beautiful florals and if he can get some himself. Every time we met, Ashley would bring a little bouquet for me, which was such a cute gesture. I secretly dried all of them to keep. And finally, Ashley herself. She is caring, tender, sweet, creative, and extremely hardworking. We believe she is blessed by God Himself lol. (But actually, though. She has a gift.) Her talent is unbelievable. I had a special request for a floral crown, and it was THE talk of the night. People would come over and poke it because they couldn’t believe it was real. Ultimately, if there were more vendors like Ashley, there would be much happier, less stressed brides in the world. And if there were more people like Ashley in general, the world would be a better place. I will miss her. Enjoy her and her florals for me. Let them take your breath away, they will.
