While studying for her bachelors in Communication, Maura frequently visited the west coast and fell in love with timeless yet modern styles of photography, design, and fashion. Lauren’s love for photography started in college at The Ringling School of Art and Design. She’d photograph her friends and piles of junk for fun with an old 35mm film camera. She graduated with a BFA in Illustration in 2003 and moved to New York City for a career in illustration and design. After years of being frustrated by the lack of a yard, Lauren moved to Athens Georgia, fell in love with the south, started taking pictures of people in love with her best friend, called it Twin Hearts Photography, and the rest is history!
