House of Broel was built as a story and a half family dwelling in 1850 in the Garden District of New Orleans. In 1884 the family decided they needed room for weddings and parties so they had the house lifted, making it a two and a half story mansion that we use today for events as they did back centuries ago. The Terminal, located at Lakefront Airport, is a New Orleans Tradition, dating back to the 1930's. At the time of its grand opening it was considered an architectural masterpiece.
